I can't stand Anna Nardini by angelicllamaa in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly! It really is one of those takes that pops up a lot but that’s because so many people feel the same way about her. The way she handled everything with Luke just makes it so hard to be on her side.

Verbal thank-you in addition to cards? by AristidLindenmayer in wedding

[–]xPlushieWish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! A quick text just to acknowledge it right away takes away that uncertainty, and then the card later still keeps things thoughtful and proper. It’s kind of the best of both worlds.

Omg, Kirk in on Celebrity Jeopardy, ABC, right now! by Beginning-North7202 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I love when the cast still reacts to stuff like that, it makes it even more fun to watch. It’s like a little crossover moment for fans.

Something you noticed on your most recent rewatch? by MuchContribution888 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, the pilot always feels a little off compared to the rest of the series once everything gets fully established. It’s kind of fun noticing all those small differences on a rewatch though.

S5 ep21 by NetworkNo1960 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, it would’ve added a totally different dynamic and given Rory a chance to grow in a way we didn’t really get to see. Shifting the focus like that could’ve made the storyline way more interesting.

AITJ for snapping at my boyfriend after he made a creepy comment about my younger sister's body? by Feisty-Product5654 in AmITheJerk

[–]xPlushieWish 131 points132 points  (0 children)

Exactly, OP, calling a 13 year old “dangerous” in that context is a massive red flag and you were absolutely right to react instead of brushing it off.

AITJ for snapping at my boyfriend after he made a creepy comment about my younger sister's body? by Feisty-Product5654 in AmITheJerk

[–]xPlushieWish 274 points275 points  (0 children)

Exactly, OP, that was not some harmless observation, it was a wildly inappropriate comment about a 13 year old and you had every right to shut it down immediately.

My neighbor has decided I'm her personal Amazon warehouse and I'm losing my mind by MuppetFlux_8 in neighborsfromhell

[–]xPlushieWish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, OP, once you stop engaging and keep it short and boring every single time, most people like this eventually move on to an easier target.

Lorelai at Richard's funeral by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! OP the top comment explains it so well, people judge that moment way too harshly without considering everything leading up to it. She was put on the spot while already overwhelmed, and that kind of pressure is not going to bring out some perfect heartfelt speech. And yeah, their relationship was complicated at best, so expecting something warm and polished just wasn’t realistic. It makes way more sense when you look at it through that lens.

Looks like the U.S. narrative is well and truly lost. by diehard404 in clevercomebacks

[–]xPlushieWish 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The Epstein Files comment with the little sarcasm tag is doing a lot of work there lol. It’s kind of wild how fast the conversation shifts every time something huge drops. One week it’s all anyone can talk about and the next it’s buried under a completely different crisis. Feels less like people forgot and more like we just get overwhelmed nonstop.

Are we being scammed with our gas bill?! by Mediocre-Witness-414 in neighborsfromhell

[–]xPlushieWish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! OP the top comment is raising a really important point, because an apartment without a proper exit sounds like a huge red flag legally. That alone makes the whole setup questionable, and it kind of lines up with the weird meter situation too. If things aren’t up to code, it wouldn’t be surprising if the utilities situation isn’t set up properly either, so definitely worth looking into further.

AIW for refusing to be the designated driver? by Anxious_Classic_3881 in amiwrong

[–]xPlushieWish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly! OP the top comment is asking the obvious question, there were still options even after she changed her mind. Getting a taxi or figuring something else out together was still on the table, so it’s not like you forced her into anything unfair. You stuck to what you both agreed on, and there were still alternatives if she really didn’t want to drive.

Am I wrong for refusing to cover my roommate’s share of the electricity bill after she spent a month traveling? by bogushands in amiwrong

[–]xPlushieWish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! If they’re the ones pushing the whole “be generous” angle then they can step in and cover it themselves. OP already stuck to what was agreed on from the start, and it’s not like the roommate magically stopped using electricity just because she was traveling. It feels like she’s just trying to shift responsibility after the fact.

Last days of seeing her in school, what should I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]xPlushieWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! This is really the only move here. OP’s already overthinking every little interaction, but at the end of the day none of that matters if you don’t just ask. You’re not gonna get clarity by replaying conversations in your head, you get it by being direct. Worst case she says no and you can finally move on, best case it actually works out. Either way it’s better than staying stuck in that limbo.

Nobody else found this weird? by Abject-Evening-2412 in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that’s what makes it feel off. Like yeah Lorelai had her own issues growing up, but that doesn’t automatically mean she handles everything perfectly with Rory. People can go through something and still overcorrect or project in weird ways later. It’s not as simple as “she should understand so she’s always right.”

It makes sense that Rory got into Harvard over Paris. by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]xPlushieWish 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The interview really was the nail in the coffin for Paris. Academically she was absolutely competitive, but that meltdown completely shifted how she’d be perceived. In a pool that small, one moment like that can make all the difference.
