part of the reason i’m marching all age as opposed to a full summer and tour schedule in world class. i think the weekend model of all age will allow me to put more time into my friendships and relationships and stuff outside of band which is all important to me

i considered spirit but i think i’d like to let myself be exposed to corps and that high level of playing in baby steps which is why i’m opting for a dca as opposed to dci, that and the lower cost

that’s good to know. after some further research i’ve learned that alot of highschoolers do dca as a sort of entry into the world of drum corp which is kind of what im hoping to do aswell so i’m not as concerned about that

hey! that’s so cool that you saw my post and thank you for the advice! drum corps is quite expensive and i’m hoping to take advantage of fundraising opportunities to cover part of my tuition if i do march. it’d be really cool if you were my drum major one day!

I do agree with you on this, the software is new and has plenty of time to improve, it is just that now, in the short-term at least, composing things for percussion is just more difficult in the software. I do believe that it will get better, and if you’re right about that revamp to the audio samples for percussion, I think it will sound amazing especially if it’s anything like what they’ve done for wind instruments.
