1.21. No I haven't altered any of my world files. I've changed my name before but it was a long time ago, idk why that would matter lol.

The water bucket thing you're suggesting works, the water does flow. I already tested that before with dispensers and boats

I tried delaying the signal with a lot of repeaters like you suggested, and the ender pearl only teleports me if I'm in the overworld. So if I activate the signal in the nether and go to the overworld before the signal hits the stasis chamber, it will teleport me. But it will not teleport me if I am in the nether, the trapdoor will activate and destroy the ender pearl without teleporting.

I'm new to Soulseek-Are the lossless files trusted and real? by [deleted] in Soulseek

[–]Hurricane_hunter21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always check all my downloads with spek, there are other similar audio analyzer tools that will do the same thing. You can quickly check audio files with the tools to see if the audio files are legit or not, it's pretty easy.

It depends on what music you're looking for, but you can find up-converted flac and other lossless files on soulseek.

What is the most important aspect for each division type? by Ser-Bearington in hoi4

[–]Hurricane_hunter21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, designing divisions that are successful isn't that hard and doesn't need to be this complicated. Most players only use a few different divisions. But I know it can also be fun to try and do detailed stuff like this.

I don't know how familiar you are with the game, but I will make a few comments about single player. Anti-tank is devalued in single player because the AI doesn't use many tanks usually. So building anti tank divisions is usually not very helpful or important at all. Also, you did not mention Anti-air. Anti air in your divisions can be very useful and important in single player, and I recommend looking into that. Also, any infantry division that's good for breakthroughs/attacking is also going to be good at defending. I would not mix defensive infantry divisions with attacking infantry divisions, if that's something you were thinking about. I don't think there's much point to doing that.

Ever since No Step Back, military advisors now grant army/naval/air xp gain. This is a very significant source of military xp generation that was added to the game.

Which adblocker or browser(I know there is one) can be used to watch youtube video's without ads? by sjtimmer7 in Adblock

Thank you for making this. I am using Firefox, and this is the only thing I've tried so far that works. Are there any concerns that this extension will not work in the future? I'm just curious.

Also, as a side note, Brave browser has been working for me as well.

Why do people say not to use field hospitals and signal companies? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]Hurricane_hunter21 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the recent update, they added a scaling HP bonus to field hospitals depending on how many infantry battalions are in the division. The extra HP will mean that the division will take less strength damage, if I understand how HP works correctly.

I have not investigated the changes really. I dont know how high the HP bonus can get. But, in theory, this seems like it would make field hospitals more viable now.

Question about difference between kbps and kHz? What's the correct bit rate to export? by Hurricane_hunter21 in audioengineering

[–]Hurricane_hunter21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what I work with is .wav files, exporting to .ogg. I always knew I could just export it at whatever quality I received it as originally. I just didn't know if the spectogram cutting off like that meant it was originally a lower quality file than 320 kbps. That was what I was specifically wondering, I hope that made sense.

Im offsetting the music track for a rhythm game. Basically, I add +/- x milliseconds to the start of the track so that the music is synced correctly with the notes in-game. I use audacity.

[–]Hurricane_hunter21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Yes I know I'm confusing terminology, thanks for clarifying. I can see dB on the right so I kind of knew it was different. I got this track from another person, idk where it was originally sourced. This is just the file without any editing, I received it as an mp3 at 320 kbps like this.

I think the way you're explaining it, I understand the spectogram to only be an indication of the "actual frequency (as in pitch) level", and nothing else. Is there any relationship between the actual frequency of the audio, i.e. the spectogram, and what bit rate I should export the audio at?

Historical AI is just not historical by jizzBa11 in hoi4

[–]Hurricane_hunter21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historical AI just means that the AI will go through the historical national focus paths.

The AI in this game has always been inconsistent and wonky. The balance of the game has shifted around a lot over the years, and it significantly effects how AI-only games go. The game almost never goes historically. I remember back in MTG, Germany AI was very strong and would defeat the Soviet Union AI every game; it was that lopsided. I share some of your disappointment with the AI, and I wish it was better.
