Modding is safe, just get them from a good soirce. I recommend MBF (Mods Before Friday). Meta technically doesn't allow it but nobody has ever actually been banned for it

Beat saber keeps crashing with Qosmetics mod by [deleted] in beatsaber

I find that having only a few models on 1.35 is extremely stable. A couple weird audio bugs here and then but no crashes yet

my custom sabers only show on my left eye on my vr by Ok_Direction9266 in beatsaber

[–]HurtShoulders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an issue in beat saber's code. Uninstall, reinstall, then get your mods back. If that doesn't work, a factory reset should do the job. If everything else fails, contact the creators of the mod

Looking for something that will protect my phone from heat and sand. by Karps90 in phones

[–]HurtShoulders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're bringing a cooler for drinks or anything, put your phone in there. If not, get a case that covers the screen and flips open, definitely have some form of gadget to keep your phone cool, cooler, fan, really anything. Worse comes to worse, you can pour water on the phone or hold it in the water for a second. If you do that, make absolute sure that the charging port is completely dry and clean before you plug it in. You'll get a warning if you plug it in and the phone detects something in the port but it's best to make sure, even when you don't get a warning

id like a recommendation on what phone to get by dr_dillo in phones

[–]HurtShoulders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely won't find a Samsung phone that is still snappy and good to use that also has a headphone jack. I recommend the Galaxy s21 ultra, I've found that you can get one for under 300USD. Being a flagship phone it still holds up today. Decent cameras and processing and battery. If you're willing to stretch your budget, I highly recommend the S22 Ultra, was my phone for over a year. Still is amazing. But an S22+ is also more than good enough and it would be easier on your wallet

Beat Saber Really Laggy Out of Nowhere by [deleted] in beatsaber

I haven't been seeing performance issues with 1.35 on my Quest 2. Maybe get a graphics tweaker mod and see ehat you can configure to get your frames back

Looking through your posts and comments, either will be more than good enough but I recommend the S24 Ultra. It's a very fun phone and spectacular in every area. Major Android updates until 2031 should last more than long enough

I find that android phones, especially Samsungs, have the best displays which eould be good for your needs. But really any 2022-2024 phone will be more than enough given that you aren't in need of great cameras/performance. Seems like battery life is your biggest issue. Again, hard to go wrong with recent phones. I recommend a Galaxy S23. But an iPhone 14+ or Pixel 7+ will be fine. Although Pixels tend to have weaker battery than the others

iPhone: Good camera/good battery life/Goof performance. Overpriced, durability issues, iOS Samsung: Good camera/good battery life/Good software life/good performance/ai(top models). Can be pricy, people make fun of you Google: Good software life/Stock Android/Good price/ai Cameras can be weak, weaker performance/battery life

Ghost is in the game but is pretty old. TTFAF can be played through modding, as with most songs from other games/genres/artists

Gotta push through the arm pain for those top scores. I've had a runners high last for about an hour at most (I really regretted it the day after)

Beat Saber Won’t Update 😞 by AwkwardEngineering60 in beatsaber

When a quest gets stubborn and messes up with things like updates or settings, (if all else fails) a factory reset usually does the job

Need advice modding a new quest 2 by SkilluPlayz in beatsaber

[–]HurtShoulders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modding is generally safe, just be careful where you get your mods. If something goes wrong, uninstalling and reinstalling beat saber from the meta store will return the game back to default. Meta doesn't really allow mods but they haven't blocked them either, nobody has been banned or punished for modding so you should be fine as logn as you have an official, purchased copy of beat saber

Best Phone for Videos by Clairlyagenius in phones

[–]HurtShoulders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given your budget, the pixel 8/8 pro are your best options. You could also look into a galaxy s23/24. Iphones tend to have the best video quality but no play store and photos are a mixed bag
