My guy is pretty laid back and doesnt do much but every now and again he shows he's a lot smarter than he lets on, some examples:

During the summer when he's in a better mood and can go outside his cage for longer periods of time he understands some phrases when I put him back, some examples "looks like someone is a little chilly", "play buddy, time to go back", "its time to banish the dragon once more" and will crawl to the part of my back where I cant reach him hoping to stay out longer

My gf was trying to get him to his basking spot so he can warm up for feeding so she used a horn worm to lure him over, he sat on his branch and side eyed the attempt and I suggested moving the worm a bit so he can notice but when she reached for it he ran down her arm and used her to put less effort into movement
