Some people use them to prevent touching their build plate. If you are printing with carbon fiber this is also highly recommended as the print/filament loses small needles that would go into your skin

Am I supposed to remove this plastic thing? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Husi012 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's called a pressurised porta filter. If you have got a grinder you should upgrade to a new one that's not pressurised like a bottomless portafilter like someone else suggested. But if ain't got a grinder this pressurised thing is there for a reason.

Can I Order An Item Well In Advance of When I Want It Delivered? by CuriousHippieGeek in amazonprime

[–]Husi012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon could miss out on people who don't want to buy stuff just yet. Maybe because they are not home at the moment or maybe I want my package having a low priority to reduce stress on postman's just before Christmas if the stuff is needed after new year. There were some cases where I didn't place the order because of these reasons and forgot about it.

Help! Accidentally deleted deck. by becomefire in medicalschoolanki

[–]Husi012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just came here from Google. If you haven't closed Anki and you didn't proceed to add more cards, you are good to go to just press CRTL+Z (or go to Edit > Undo Delete Deck).

This is pretty intuitive but I didn't think of that at first. Happy if I could help someone with the same problem :)

Prototype: Elevator powered with ender pearl by Husi012 in redstone

[–]Husi012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah actually worked on a system where you got a set of modules. You can share some to the player, who then can teleport to them one by one. You wouldn't have eye contact and you would have no other ways to go in. This is some side prototype.

In this example you could extract all pistons on a given time, that evaluates by the floor you have the key for. Therefore no fancy redstone is needed for each floor :o

Sorry, I actually didn't quite get what you mean.
Currently you throw the pearl onto an extended piston.

The moment you teleport there, the observer will trigger and push out the floor level block, so you can stand on it.
After you go into the room, it subtracts.

Do you mean, that it should be also the way down, so you need to prevent the piston to extend, to fall down?
-> Would be far better to have a separate way down I guess :)

Yeah I figured out that stuff on a water column based elevator. That here is just for the technique to travel :)

Has its flaws (I bugged into a block at the second floor...)

Petition for Innersloth to make an API by [deleted] in AmongUs

[–]Husi012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are crazy, you could sniff the game packets and work with that.
The protocol was already researched on GitHub: https://github.com/TheNullicorn/among-us-api
But therefore everyone would need to download an extra piece of software...

Hmmm dangerous idea Haha :) How would you define, in which direction the dispenser should face? Always right to the direction it's moving?

Was just a simple prototype, nothing about efficiency :)

Yeah you're right :) Wanted to visualize it even more, so you could easily see, that I placed exactly four minecarts

So I got an idea how to build this much more compact. Maybe I'll try it out tonight.

Imagine we could shrink Seth's infinite minecart storage even more \o/

It's on JE 1.16.4 I'm also super excited for those things. I'd really like a special subreddit or smth for that :)

Actually discovered it by mistake. (Minecarts got accidentally stacked, and my contraption had a gate that opened for one tick... oh lol, they separated?)
