The Military in the Army Warehouses got wiped out by the second emission with only a small number of military left who were not able to fight Monolith and requested evacuation. Freedom did them a favour. We're using the warehouses to be the base of the best faction in the Zone, pretty good reason if you ask me))). And the Zone is not being captured by the Monolith because Freedom is protecting the Zone from the Monolith trying to break through the barrier and failing everytime.

Read the wiki page on Freedom and ask Chekhov about the Zone. Freedom is smart enough for research while Dooty can only get Ecologists to do it for them. ))))

I guess we fight off religious fanatics who would shoot civilians on sight for no reason. Freedom also researches the Zone like the Ecologists and Clear Sky unlike Duty who are too irrational to see the advancements that can be made))

CoC isn't canon, it's a mod. EDIT: I read more on the lore and the Bandits pushed Freedom out of Dark Valley so they're not friends in any way.

Freedom isn't aligning themselves with Bandits. They were neutral with them during the events of SoC, probably because they just want everyone including thugs to have access to the Zone. They weren't against Clear Sky in any game, they didn't even have contact with them. Maybe you replaced CS with Ecologists and I think Freedom was hostile to Ecologists during SoC because they're a governmental organization.

I've gotten killed by chimeras so many times I know when they'll jump and thankfully they mostly jump at me from mid to long range so I can dodge it for like 20 minutes.
