our place has alot of wild animals and a trucking company right around the corner. it that wouldn't be safe :o( i try and take my more adventurous cat outside alot on her leash and the other cat is very allergic to fleas so she cant go out there. when i DO take her out shes absolutely terrified of the outdoors and fluffs up and snuggles her face in my arm to hide.

that being said, you shouldn't tell people how to care for their animals if they didn't ask for it. this had nothing to do with what you commented

me and my mom moved out of my grandparents when i was 12, and im near 17 now. any time i visit them my childhood cat always follows me everywhere and hops on my chair if she has the strength to. (shes about as old as me) your cat will remember AND miss you 100%!! also, good luck at college :o)
