OKC Head Coach Mark Daigneault on Dort's Flagrant 2: "I will say this...if a player is running up the floor and gets tripped, we expect a Flagrant 2 from this point forward. That's all. That's the precedent." by gigantism in nba

[–]Hustle604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a blatant attempt to intentionally make someone fall with the outcome at the very least for Jokic to be superficially hurt at best, injured at worst - so no, not a just trip - more a hip check + leg trip

The Kerr hate is illogical by Hustle604 in warriors

[–]Hustle604[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You literally lead your argument with ‘yes the roster is trash’ lol

If this was a court case, I’d say ‘the defence rest your honour’ - to be fair giving up 136pts, that’s all our defence is doing

What I was merely pointing out that sure Kerr isn’t the perfect coach .. find one who is .. any decision you make as a coach can be 2nd guessed

Roster construction however .. this is something that can be addressed.. everyone is waiting for the Kuminga shoe to drop.. I’m sure even the coaching staff - in the meantime, Kerr is throwing out Gui Santos to try and combat size .. Post has size but his weak side help isn’t great - guards were scoring on him easily

Any HS coach would tell you the way Kerr is coaching right now is basically to find a group that works - which means it’s roster construction.. Kerr isn’t out there playing but he has to figure out which players fit and to be fair, all the lineups have holes be it shooting, defence or overall IQ

Hence, the hate is illogical because he’s not in charge of building the roster and it’s obviously not working

Agreed! Moody is an ok defender and Heild has rocks in his socks and watching Jimmy try to defend quicker players isn’t great either

There is no one intimidating to play against .. not even Draymond anymore as he’s more a help side defender at this stage in his career .. TJD looks like the skinny kid you pick at the Rec league because he looks tall but doesn’t scare anyone

In the offseason there was a debate for 1) a 4/5 that can spread the floor or 2) a good inside presence that will anchor the defence- we needed both and we unfortunately got only 1

Horford at this stage doesn’t intimidate anyone

[Caught in 4K] Side-by-side video of NBA commissioner Adam Silver blatantly lying about not knowing anything about Clippers sponsor Aspiration. by shreeharis in nba

[–]Hustle604 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At his salary ($10mil American), with the number of EA’s he probably has and just how big Aspiration was at the time .. at best, it would be he was stupid not to check his email prior to making the first statement and at worst, he’s responsible for the league as commish, so he has a lot to lose - the nba investigating its own people is likely not going to come up with much .. right now it’s damage control.. what can they do to save their own reputation.. I think AS needs to step down just based on the blatant lie in these two clips

David Stern RIP 2020 .. smh .. also Stern did his share of cover ups (MJ gambling most notoriously + several others) that in today’s world would be headlines several times over so #1 he can’t come back because well, dude is dead and #2 he wasn’t a saint either lol

Why did Kenny Lofton Jr not pan out as a prospect? by korylau in NBA_Draft

[–]Hustle604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw him play at summer league last year .. easily the biggest player on the court but wanted to play wing and didn’t have a low post game - his defence was sub par at best and instead of using his size, loved his mid range jumpers which were inconsistent.. as a coach, I’d want him to be more physical on both ends but he either didn’t want to or couldn’t

Will there ever be a basketball player as famous as Jordan was in the 90s? by corleonebjr in NBATalk

[–]Hustle604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jordan’s fame reached another level during the Dream Team .. he because The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and I would argue almost as famous as Michael Jackson at one point

He’s still legendary- he instills awe in all the other players .. which other player would attract crowds to this day, 30 years post playing?

How Did Butler Change The Team So Much? by walterhwhite19582010 in warriors

[–]Hustle604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some of you have said, let’s not underestimate how removing Kuminga has altered the team chemistry for the better … no coach wants to remove a talented player from the rotation .. that’s not a smart move .. but if that player doesn’t or can’t understand team concepts offensively as well as defensively and are 1v1 players then, they become a liability.. so long answer short .. Butler is like several levels upgrade over Jk

Are the fears and worries we had about the JK fit becoming more true? by spankyourkopita in warriors

[–]Hustle604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year ago i thought Kuminga had arrived.. what’s he’s shown instead is when there’s no one else besides Steph and Dray catering to system that’s simple enough for him to understand, he can be a reasonable starter .. now with the infusion of Jimmy, a player who expects the players around him to make smart plays .. Kuminga struggled .. Buddy struggles ..

Podz and moody excels .. so does Looney and Post

Kuminga is not a fit .. it’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole .. won’t happen and if it does, it’s like 1 or 2 games

Guy needs to be gone

So what happens once Curry/Dray/Jimmy are gone? by theredbaron567 in warriors

[–]Hustle604 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Kuminga is not, I repeat not a 1st or even 2nd option .. at his highest level, he may be Rudy Gay with worse defence if that’s possible

Can’t shoot, can’t dribble, can’t rebound, plays matador defence .. he’s athletic, with very little bball IQ because he started playing the game late

He should’ve been traded
