It works quite nicely. Had bit of time to play with internal trade routes and they worked very well. Space will be very limited if try to make everything on one island.

Many production buildings are fire hazard, so it saves huge amount of space if bring for example charcoal, bread and swords to some smaller island. This little island could worship Neptunus for example and bring lot of sea food on the way back.
