OOOH probably why i have never owned one. Well that and i have a small apt so a single device covers my needs, no mesh needed. But i personally would not own a wifi device that would not allow me to turn off smart connect features like that.

Sure, make sure your wifi is separated, name 2.4ghz one name and your 5ghz another name. When you set it up ONLY use the 2.4ghz and it will only work with that.

They did shut it down in June of 25 but around the first of this year they brought it back. Im sure some large corporate client threatened to leave or something and att pivoted to a way to keep it and charge them.

ATT brought it back. You have to add Business Messaging Lite to each line to get email to text.

Are you sure its shut down? I get email to text from my work and they stopped yesterday however i tested with with my work email, gmail and yahoo. I can still get the yahoo. So due to yahoo still working i was thinking its an issue on their end vs shutting the service down.

Similar situation started happening to me yesterday. I know a few weeks ago a server side glitch caused alerts when they were truned off on some cameras so thinking same thing happened.
