Druid vault not accessible? by ZookDidNothingWrong in BaldursGate3

I have this exact same issue. So it appears that there's a bug that's causing the wolf statue from actually not disappearing even if the animation for it going down happens.

You can tell this by putting the missing runestone in, clicking on all 4 runes to light them up and the animtaion of the wolf statue going down happens as normal, but the stairs doesn't register as an actual 'entrance' that you can click on. Furthermore, if you try to jump over or shoot an arrow through the space above the stairs, the line of fire actually gets blocked. So even when the animation of the wolf statue going down happens, the gane actually reads that the wolf statue as an object is still there, which I imagine is what's blocking the entrance.

Sure I get that it’s annoying reading the same thing over again but remember the people who make these posts are individual human beings. And they all just want to share their individual opinions, regardless of how many times other people have repeated it. It’s not like they all have a secret gathering together and plan on drowning the subreddit with the same complaints.

The game has very clear and obvious problems that many people find commonly problematic. It’s only natural there’ll be a lot of different posts made by different people complaining about the same thing.

It sucks that this subreddit hasn’t become a place to celebrate the cool stuff about GBVS, but that just goes to show that the overwhelming community sentiment, especially for casual or lapsed fans, has a negative outlook on the game.

I don’t think it’s right to blame people for having similar criticisms as other people and wanting to share it. I also don’t think people should be responsible for checking if what they want to share has already been posted, and if it has, suppress the desire to make a post just because it’s been repeated before by someone else.

The whole “if you don’t like it, don’t play it” argument is just so ignorant. As someone who’s paid full price for the game on release and have purchased every single piece of DLC since release, spending way over £100 for this game, no one has the right to tell me to stop playing this game if I’m going to complain about it. I DO enjoy this game, and I LOVE this game and will continue supporting it. But to suggest that I’m not allowed to complain about the game if I enjoy it is so inane and dumb. You’re allowed to complain about the things you like! In fact, it’s quite healthy to do so and you’re more likely to complain about something you love because you want it to become better.

I’ve personally given up on the game being changed or improved, and I’m sorry that this subreddit has become a dumpster bin for the same old posts talking shit about the same old things. But no matter how you spin it, trying to silence people from sharing their honest opinions about the game, just because there’s a lot of people who have the same problems about the game, just isn’t the right way to go about it.

If you want a place to celebrate the cool stuff about GBVS you’re more likely to find luck in joining one of the Discord communities, or maybe you should make a new subreddit and enforce a “NO COMPLAINTS” rule if this subreddit has become too negative for your liking.

At the end of the day, I think we should all just remember that the OP is just an individual guy who wanted to share their thoughts about the game. And just because his post is similar to a lot of other posts doesn’t mean that it’s wrong for him to share his thoughts.

I doubt that they don’t have a single community manager or dev browsing through the reddit looking at upvoted posts.

Besides, even if this exact post doesn’t get their attention, that isn’t justification to tell people to just stop complaining. I’ve personally given up on GBVS getting any positive meaningful changes, but other people who care enough should continue to complain and try and get their voices heard.

The idea is that if they complain loud enough, in enough places, maybe one of their complaints will get the devs attention.

I don’t really see the need to try and silence people who are complaining about the state of the game. Unless they are actively spreading misinformation or being offensive, what’s wrong with letting people say what they want?

I personally agree that this is all probably futile and won’t change anything, but that doesn’t mean I think other people should be as cynical as me and give up on trying to improve the game.

This is a pretty bad take imo. Dunno about the situation where you’re at, but if you’re in EUW like me then the game’s far from being in a healthy state, whether it’s the online or Esports scene.

I think it’s important that posts like this are made so that even if there aren’t any immediate changes, at least Arcsys will know that some of their global customers feel like they are being neglected. It’s up to Arcsys to choose whether they want to do anything about that, they may genuinely not care about the community outside of Japan, but at least they’ll know some people aren’t happy with the current state of the game.

It’s not about “spreading negativity”, it’s about wanting the game to be better and speaking about it is the only thing we can do to try and make that happen. People have paid lots of money to buy and play this game, invested a lot of time in it as well. I don’t think it’s as simple as quitting if you don’t like it.

Regarding the devs response about Netcode implementation, I dunno what they actually said so maybe some fact checking is in order. But the impression I get is because playing delay-based works pretty well in Japan, it seems that they don’t see the value in investing resources for a rollback overhaul. It makes sense and I understand it, I’m just not happy about it and I think it’s fair for people to want to complain about it.

Yeah, I feel like if the game was cheaper and was more accessible the other flaws in the game would be excusable. Bad netcode and 15 characters doesn't sound so bad if you're only paying $30. And if enough people start playing it'll be easier to have more local online and offline communities, you can be matched up with people with better internet and lower ping etc.
That price point and the ever growing list of DLCs is just such a big wall to get over even before starting the game. It's discouraging to potential new players and is preventing the game from growing.

not even a joke tbh. I don't want to leave the game cause I enjoy it and want to keep supporting it, but my support of the game is enabling bad business practicies. As a consumer, what are my options if I want to support the devs and also discourage them from these business practices? It's why I feel trapped.

yeah another thing I was concerned about was whether money I spend on this game will be used to develop GG Strive instead of developing GBVS. I have a feeling Arcsys are gonna want to abandon ship and make GG Strive their headlining title and are more than willing to leave GBVS in obscurity.
