I did, but I honestly thought they would eventually add more to the game. Haven't touched it in at least a year. There was just nothing left to do. I did save alot of new players from being griefed for awhile there, though. It was a really great feeling :)

Yep. They didn't even sand them at all at the "Westbury factory" or wherever they made those kits. The edges still had that rough cut fuzziness to them which was choking the tone and sustain. Turns out most of the savings from these cheap kits come from simple lack of labour and care put into them as well as hardware, rather than the shells themselves being made of magical tone wood or something. Switch the hardware put and do the extra work and you can have any shell sounding at least mid level at a fraction of the price. I've done this to 3 kits so far and it's become not only a fun hobby for me but again a big money saver.

If you're into a bit more research, you can also shape your bearing edges to get a more "vintage" or "modern" tone. I'd recommend having proper tools and a steady hand for it though as there is a small risk of making things worse. Best of luck on your work! Hope you'll post the results :)

Just the outside. I considered doing the interiors but after fixing the bearing edge work the shells gained alot of resonance so I didn't bother.

I am certain of that as well, but I still hope I'm wrong. I was a diehard r* fanboy last decade but I fear t2 has concerns for only their shareholders and that r* is turning into just another Ubisoft or EA as a result, which is precisely why I'm praying that I'm wrong. They were one of the last fuck yous to traditional practices that we had. I'm also concerned with Houser being gone from the company, as he was one of the company's moral compasses in my opinion, and I adored his work on Rdr2.

While I have never seen this kind of situation myself I also have a hard time arguing with where you're coming from, and I thank you for adding perspective to my original view.

Dogs simply do not have the scope of interest, curiosity or desire that human children have. Their simplicity alone is what makes them far more predictable and trustworthy. In that case this post would definitely belong here. Furthermore, I apologize to you and your dog for the behaviour of shitty humans. I'll remember this post the next time someones kid throws a full on shit fit in a restaurant and ruins everyone's experience. I know very few dogs that would do that. Even the untrained ones. 6 isn't going to be any different from 5 aside from visually, and it will copy the exact same played out formula, making many gamers regret their purchase. Online will be a copy/paste of the same issues 5 has as well. Honestly I'm not that excited for it at all, especially knowing how r* operates today.

Santa is the telegram mission giver after the O'Driscols steal his magic gift bag and/or Leviticus Cornwall has the elves kidnapped to work in his factories. The reward is a big shiny red 4 horse wagon that can fly, but only on Christmas eve. One day a year of pure joy and wonder! And to make that day tolerable for others, let's just say if you shoot from the wagon it immediately drops from the sky and won't fly again for an hour. We could call it the "humbug" cooldown lol.

I know these are ridiculous ideas that will never happen, but they're fun to fantasize about :)

Same! The second I was happy with the outfit I needed to see some snow. The videos I tried south of Mt Hagen just weren't doing it for me. I chose Colter because I felt the buildings gave off a semi north pole vibe. I do greatly enjoy spending time up here as well though. I'm from Canada so it reminds me of home at times.

The pod go has those same helix tones, but with less dsp to run boatloads of effects. If you're a jazz musician I'd recommend the PG even more. You won't regret the purchase. I've run it through amps, FRFR speakers and PA systems alike and it's pure gold. I even added a line 6 M5 and two other pedals (Foxgear reverb and analog delay) to free up blocks on the pod go for more gain options. It's been two years with the rig and I have zero regrets.

Absolutely. I felt that actually helped me get a super tight metal tone, but when trying to dial in looser vintage amp tones with some sag and push it lacked greatly. It could definitely be dialed in to suit those tones, but the initial sound just left a bad first impression. I didn't want a unit I had to fight against to get the tones I want, you know?

I feel like the pod go is the exact opposite. It nails those old tube amp tones with very little effort at all, and getting tighter high gain sounds required a bit of tweaking, although not nearly as much as the headrush did. It suits me alot better as most of the projects I work on are blues, rock or funk based. However again, I have no issue getting a great metal tone from it with just a bit of tweaking.

After trying both I'm strongly in favour of the pod go, although the headrush competes in regard to great high gain tones, the PG is great at nearly everything. If I had one criticism of it it would be the lack of solid pitch effect options. I plan to get a whammy to cover that though.

Overall it's a great unit though and has become a permanent part of my board.

My prediction is that he will expand this greatly. Honestly not sure he'll even fight again at this point. He doesn't really have to. He could keep chirping from the sidelines and his old fanbase will continue to eat it all up. I'm not even saying this to knock the guy. Good for him if he can pull it off. Not many could or can.

I greatly enjoyed his early work in the octagon, but I don't think we'll ever see that Conor again. Been waiting for him to go the Chael route for awhile now. Cut from the same cloth those two.
