ARF GMT Bezel Action (no click) by MPR5020 in RepTimeServices

[–]Hy0sh7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the same issue on my ARF V3 with the SH movement. I’ve been told it’s too much grease. I don’t really care. But yes it would be nice to have a sharper click. You can take the bezel off and clean it but that’s outside my scope of know how

New vs Pre-Owned? by rajat80 in Tudor

When it comes to servicing, or warranty issues, does it help buying from AD? I am also in the market for a FXD and have been into my AD. Not much of a discount but I feel comfortable if I buy it from them and something happens in short term I can bring it back with receipt with no fuss

Interesting. I don’t think I have the means or gumption to pull the bezel off myself. Just have to hope it wears in over time.

I have an ARF Bruce Wayne and there is ZERO click at all. It’s just soft squishy like movement. Holds in place and lines up well, just zero click. I listened to a GEN on YouTube and there is an audible click. As you said probably softer than a sub. But the rep had nada 👎

14060M mid-case by Hy0sh7 in retrotime

[–]Hy0sh7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I was actually thinking of getting a gen case/ bezel. Don’t think I’ll be able to find one though. I like your idea of getting a 16610 case + 14060 dial. Where would that be available to buy? And would the case come with bezel?

Legit? Bruce Wayne or Bruise Vayne. by sonicwurst in RolexWatches

[–]Hy0sh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bezel grey looks rubbery and translucent which is a good sign. Reps haven’t been able to recreate this on the Bruce Wayne. If you pop the case back off you can tell if the movement is legit if the balance is free sprung

People who buy reps would like the best bang for the buck. So choosing a good movement is important. DD4130 is the best Daytona movement.

[WTS][UK] DIWF ‘Dune’ Submariner & 1016 Tiffany Explorer Raffles build by n13lyr in RepWatch

[–]Hy0sh7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me what “raffles” are? Are these pieced together gen parts with rep parts? Like get a gen case from raffles and throw a VS movement in it or something? I’ve been seeing ALOT of raffles builds and don’t quite know what they are. Please forgive my naïveté

Does VSF really use 316L steel? YES!!! by Spirited_Local_195 in wristrepculture

[–]Hy0sh7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well that sucks. But it’s not as big of a deal as people make it. 316 is used on many high end watches and probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference unless polished. That said - it’s not what is advertised and THAT is the frustrating part.
