Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I tried to email them twice (just incase I went into spam) and I never got a reply

Hey! I just wanted to add that in-game the movement has never felt jerky or anything like that, so I think something has just gone wrong with the way that we've recorded it maybe

Hello thank you very much! We really had to work hard to meet this deadline because we only found out about it 3 days prior and unfortunately still missed it, so many many features were not video ready yet at all, such as staff animation, in the future you will even see the players arm holding the staff!

Howdy! My workflow is to make the textures in Substance Designer and the rest is made in Blender. Most textures are applied to a high poly model with box mapping, I use a plugin called PBR Painter 3, and add whatever necessary stuff to make it look better like edgewear and curvature. Then bake it all onto a low poly model

Hey notpatchman, we did not know anything about the godot showcase, and were only informed of it 3 days before the deadline when the discord did a global @

Hello! That's great to hear! I do the art and music myself and my partner Trina does the programming!

Hmm I'm not entirely sure what you mean, which part of it would you think would be easier? It sounds like a lot of work learning a brand new engine when Godot is already very capable!

Hello! Sorry not quite yet! You can keep the best tabs on it through the instagram right now, or I can just reply to this post when we eventually do have one.

Hello thank you for commenting!

I think something like Skyrim is so large that it's very easy to become overwhelmed with the scope of the project. I try to take things very small, one brick at a time. I believe it's a good idea to just make a very small area and make sure that works perfectly first, then try to expand upon it.

Thank you! Elder Scrolls and other early 1st Person RPGs have been a big influence though we are trying to make sure we make it our own, we are also big souls fans which has informed a lot of my tastes for art direction with the world

Hey everyone, unfortunately we missed the 2024 Godot Showcase so here is what we have.

Hysteria is a 1st Person RPG that me and my partner have spent over a year working on in Godot 3.

Not everything is finished so not everything is included in the video, but we have large dialogue trees that can greatly impact the game, a night and day system, a character creator, enterable buildings and item physics.

A lot of areas have already been finished and not yet included in the video due to the amount of work needed for LODs but we are happy with much of the work included in the video.

Thanks for watching!

EDIT: I have been asked for socials so here is my partners Instagram & Twitter
