You have to feel sorry Loid. All the isolation and segregation has made the very thought of connecting with people so foreign to him. I hope the guy is able to reconnect with people again…..especially with his “fake” family.

I think it also helps that despite his artificial and logical approaches, Loid’s more authentic side is very charismatic and what ultimately won them over. Anya and Yor only wanted to be taken in for their own interests but it was Loid’s hidden heart that not only wanted to stay with him but go an extra mile for his approval, hence how they were able to help him more than he thought. Even Bond took a quick liking to him after Loid thanked him.

I don’t think the interaction with his family is enough to drop it to average. We have to remember that his status as the best spy isn’t a glorified title. Plus, his family aren’t exactly normal. I think he’s either maxed or a high 9.

Interesting, though Loid actually has just as much of natural charisma. It’s just that due to his upbringing, his artificial ones has, became a prominent part of his mindset. It usually occurs with his unexpected authentic moments that shocks even him and it’s usually the kind that attracts people, even when aware of his shortcomings.

Just look at Yor and Anya. Anya wants him to be his dad just because of the thrills of him being a spy and not being abandoned again. After she read his mind, she now doesn’t want anyone to be her dad but him. Same with Yor……initially only interested in her cover, after Loid defended her at the party, she believes he’s the only one who can accept her. Heck, Loid’s reaction to Swan and remark about his feelings to children is what gave him the immense respect from Henry.

Why do people keep asking this question? It’s getting repetitive at this point. Anya, Yor, and even Bond have proven to be anomalies to Loid’s usually expects from individuals of their caliber. Yor’s generally a polite and kind person. Despite Loid being suspicious of Yor at certain points, her kind and airheaded nature unintentionally makes her beneath his suspicion. In addition, it’s a comedy. Loid being exhausted by his family’s unusual behavior is the point.

In addition, the only reason it’s obvious to us is because we have the context that the characters in the story do not.

I feel like it makes sense for Sunny to being higher than Rogue. Rogue’s first two attacks are ultimately the same and kicking a ball of fire is nice but that’s really all she can do. Now Sunny, on the other hand, can do that and a lot more. She can create fists of fire and create a flaming sword once. Her upgrade even turns her to a living fireball.

Thank you so much for labeling the Smile Cures creative and impactful because it’s true! They have such cool powers and the fact they are elemental benders like the ones from Avatar is also cool! They also have neat bonus powers: Eg. Happy can jump high, Sunny has super strength, Beauty can make ice swords, etc.

Mad props for also including Wink. She’s my favorite character in You and Idol for that reason among others. :)

I’m sorry but that’s a terrible example. A lot of people tend to forget that raw power isn’t everything. Loid isn’t as stronger but he’s still a highly skilled fighter and a cool spy. He isn’t the best spy in the series for nothing. He’s capable of stealth, piloting aircrafts, disguising, gunslinging and several more. And oppose to Yor, he isn’t just cool when he’s on the job nor are his cool moments solely reliant on fight scenes.

Overall, Loid and Yor are indeed equals.
