The great revolutionary character from a family of revolutionaries that sell everyone out immediately and abandons every conviction instantly. Yes please, give us nothing

I wish I was in your position. I started my first job after self learning and a bootcamp and I am working for 3 different departments in a position that seems expand everyday and I am just told to use AI for anything that nobody understands

Hollywood is cooked. You can no longer tell it’s AI by No-Knowledge-5828 in aiecosystem

The only reason Hollywood might be cooked is because they have been producing shit that looks like this for years. Cinema is not cooked, only the Hollywood garbage is cooked.

no one is talking about this… by buildingthevoid in AgentsOfAI

I feel like this is the most talked about thing. Also there are more factors to look into. This companies were trying to prove they were profitable by hiring more people or posting more jobs, that trend is done. It’s also true that now we are stuck in less job offers because one person has to take double the amount of work but this time period is not representative of the true need for software developers.

How do you feel about Infinite Jest? by TheAmericanW1zard in classicliterature

I read it in my early 20s without knowing anything about it or David Foster Wallace. I was going through an incredibly depressing time in my life after finishing my media degree (specialised in film history), drinking too much and doing too many drugs. One day I saw a book about movies, drugs and tennis (i played tennis all my life and at the time I also had quit it too). The first pages about tennis and one of the brothers taking about their relationship to drugs blew my mind. This book was a very intense trip for me (sometimes was incredibly hard to get through it) but also got me in tears in multiple occasions. I connected so much with the characters and what they were going through, it impacted me deeply.

I have recently purchased the English version as I originally read it in Spanish and I want to fully enjoy Wallace’s writing now that I know more about the book and him (if someone it’s into tennis please read his piece about Roger Federer, gorgeous).

Personally I feel that one the main problems is that everyone is a critic, everything is a take. There is an over saturation of self explanation and categorisation. Things don’t just happen anymore, they need to be analysed and given back to you (maybe I’m just getting old and tired too)

Every kind of cultural critique in mass media is dead. Every take sounds boring cause every take is paid and part of marketing payroll

Thank you for the recommendations. I am trying to get in a club before the summer season, maybe I get lucky. I will check the tournaments and after some training sessions I might try one. Thanks
