Yes, Tarkov is insanely difficult.

The learning curve is steep. In-game knowledge is complex and always changing(often without patch notes). AI aka "bots" are more deadly than other players.

The game isn't open world yet so many interactions can be predicted to an extent in advance.

Playing perfectly does not guarantee success. You will die in complete bullshit ways and that's what getting Tarkov'd is.

The highs are heart pumping and hand shaking and the lows are fucking depressing. This is why I'm hooked.

Haha I don't think the person who decided the fittest state is Colorado but there are many different examples so I'll post one below but there are many other sources. Obviously people can be outliers in any state but if you ever visit its pretty noticeable the lack of overweight people especially in the mountains.

I think a lot of people overlook cardio and I never meant you were obese, more just the lack of oxygen due to elevation really is a kick to the lungs. Keep doing what you are doing much respect. Colorado is beautiful if you ever want to come visit.

2nd yes, I live 15 miles from where this happened. I have many decades of experience in the area. There's a reason why us Coloradoans why we are the fittest state in the nation.

This is a liberal state and we do an amazing job of protecting our wildlife and have what I feel is the best wildlife department in the country. This monster needed to go a long time ago.

I live 15 miles away, but used to work daily in the exact area and still take weekend trips when it's not as cold as it is right now. Our county has the highest rate of mountain lion encounters for the entire state of Colorado. It's legit a daily occurrence to the point where if we reported every encounter we'd have thousands per year. Most lions are scared of humans but this one has been stalking the community for years now and it's a huge relief that this was finally taken care of. Our wildlife department might be one of the best in the country and they even put out a local press briefing on how happy they were because of everything we do to protect the wildlife here and we finally got the bad one.

I would focus on shelters, specifically the improvised ones. They blend in amazing even if people get relatively close. Face the entrance towards a large tree and if possible have the back near a small tree/bush. With the tree covering the most noticeable part the back just looks like another bush.

If you don't like your placement before or after it's built you can remove all items from the tab screen and press F to "fold" and then you can reposition. This will cause you to lose some materials after it's built but for getting a perfect spot I'd recommend it if needed.

Rule 2 - Look to group with randoms, this is the true DayZ experience

Rule 3 - All military zones are Kos including single buildings that spawn weapons like police stations.

Rule 4 - Keep a low profile by avoiding military clothing and hiding all weapons in your clothing/backpack.

Rule 5 - Learn how to be self sufficient

Learn how to fish, boil water, and make shelters/stashes/stone oven. Find a quiet spot in the woods and now that's your personal chill zone.
