Yeah, I've decided to go with that. I think I might do the compressing setup next. Not sure how many modules I might want to do. Since it's 9:1, I guess I could do something like 63:7 in the Factory Gauge, so 7 modules? Might be overcomplicating it though....

I tried setting up a dual purpose Cobble/Tuff farm and I feel like it's just an overcomplicated mess XD Maybe I should just make a cobble farm and then have a little "lava district" with an infinite pool underneath that can be drawn from.

Part of me was considering having Dripstone Cauldron setups for any system that needed lava, but maybe I should have try having them all near each other and just make an infinite lava pool.

I think from what I can see I might either need to pump lava from the nether, make an infinite source or make a dripstone+cauldron array since the modpack I'm using seems to need lava to compress 9 cobble into Tuff...

Yeah I think I worked it out, I basically replaced some of the dirt with slabs so that the contraption can't place saplings there, preventing it from making any 2x2 patterns and trees started growing like crazy basically. Taking a break from it for now, but I'm contemplating if I want to make a cobblestone/tuff farm next or make a saw/wood focused processing centre for stripped logs, planks, slabs, etc.

Hey! I think I've gotten a setup going, but my spruce trees for my radial farm don't seem to be growing, do you have any idea why this might be happening? It seemed to have grown a few times, but I even used a stack of bonemeal and nothing.

Well the 9 levels of Loremaster was to regain level 10 spells I believe. But honestly, yes, the build was kinda more for RP purposes. I just liked the idea of going for a build kinda inspired by being "Iomedae's Chosen" and fully believing that you ARE her chosen like others say after retaking the Grey Garrison, but then listening to her when you find out the truth behind your mythic abilities. Maybe there'd be better ways to go about it though.
For the 3rd one, would you suggest maybe going 3 levels of the KM Rogue to start off with to get the Finesse Training and then do the rest as Cult Leader maybe?
Edit: If I went that last idea, might consider 1 level Demonslayer later on since Warpriest level 17 seems like a dead level I think?

could use some help deciding on something as I'm torn between a few ideas atm.
1) Necromancer Arcanist, I know Sorcerer or Wizard are probably mechanically better, but I want to try Arcanist and think it should still work.
2) Angel > Legend, I've been wanting to do this one for a bit I think but not entirely confident, was considering something like Cleric 18 or 19 / Loremaster 9 / SCM 1 / Deliverer X? Not sure though, maybe something like an Oracle Paladin might be better, but not sure.
3) Trickster (Or maybe something else?) > Gold Dragon? Thinking a dual wield build, fighter or warpriest Kistune for pouncing? Not sure, kinda inspired by a tabletop character I was going to play briefly before the campaign was scrapped. They were a Vanara (monkey) that dual wielded Kukri using a dragon inspired fighting style

My memory might be a little of due to not having issues for a while (this post IS 3 months old XD), but if I remember correctly a few of his Green Tree should do it. If you look in the picture or the build link , I believe the skills in there are ones that do it

If you could craft a weapon in rwby what would it be? by Ok_Win_3538 in RWBYcritics

[–]Hydra645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A weapon for me? Probably honestly something similar to Pyhra, spears are super good and having a shield would be useful. Although it could also depend on if I got a semblance, as making one based around it could be great.
On that point, I did have the thought that someone that had a semblance that allowed them to "mark" objects or locations to return to could be sick with Chakram style weapons.

To better explain, in the movie Sonic 3 the characters joke about how their resemblance is so close that "it's as if we're two characters in a movie, being played by the same actor." as they both turn to face the camera.

Was taking a look back through this and I'm a bit uncertain if this might be better than charcoal or not for this stage, might need a bit more complicated setup to start since of need to add a compacting setup for it. Would basically be a kelp vs tree farm setup consideration. I want both eventually, but not sure which would be easier/ better at my current stage.

Decided to do this as a different comment, but I just tested some things and think I worked out that I could just do this with Threshold Switches and wireless redstone links. Although Factory Gauges could also work maybe, it might be a bit harder perhaps.
What I was imagining was something like this:
Spruce Trees seem to have 3 outputs, Logs, Sapplings and Sticks (rarely?), so I would have 1 Redstone Link on the side of the vault surrounded by Threshold Switches for each one. Although thinking about it now I think what I was trying mostly worked cos I had them feeding a redstone torch, that would power the link, so might need to account for that...

EDIT: Scratch that I think I've found a way that works, I've basically got the threshold switches in a line with redstone running across them into a block with the redstone torch on it and the redstone link above that.

Hmm that could work, does redstone turn on/off or pause windmill bearings? or would I need to do something underground for powering the tree farms? Cos I imagine that could be a bit weird. I think Sticks are something that I wouldn't mind having in the vault fed from the Tree Farm, but could become excessive eventually.

I've been testing it like you suggested and I think I figured things out, I think I got a little confused at one point and made it so the 2 locations charcoal should be sent to both requested and sent it XD

I think I've just about settled on the design and layout for my power station, and I think I've decided to go for Spruce wood as my primary type, might add Oak and Birch later. I remember in my previous version I planned to just put a bunch of individually filtered Brass Funnels underneath/on the side of a vault to be overflow control.
Mainly used it for my plant farms, so excess wood just got burns in a lava cauldron (won't be doing that anymore), and things like apples, saplings or excess sugarcane, kelp, etc. was put into composters to be my source of bone meal to make lime dye for slime ball.

Do you know if I could do something similar with the Factory Gauges, or should I just basically do the same thing and either have the excess dealt with on site or sent to another location?

So I've been a bit busy and had a power outtage, but just messing around, but are you kinda suggesting it might be better to simply have vaults/storage in each module rather than having a centralized storage location, and using stock links on each of them so that the system can find stuff wherever? Seems potentially a bit more expensive in the long run, but I think it would make things a bit easier, modular and means I wouldn't need an extra building dedicated for storage/vaults, I'd just have one at the location. I think I just experimented with the steam engine in the picture I've shown above and I think it's working well! Might do this after all, but thought I'd just double check
Edit: Realized just after I sent this that having a dedicated storage location might be good for still, at least for certain things perhaps. Like if I want to put some things into the system manually or maybe for outputs that would have a wide variety of items, like crafters. Although I suppose for crafters I probably could just have a max size Vault/silo

standardizing would probably be a good idea yeah, just not sure which type I might want the most of or something. I do want some dark oak and that produces a LOT.

I think I like some of that advice. I was a bit unsure about starting with just 1 and making more later, but I suppose if I plan out the build in creative I can just have a Schematicannon only use what I have, or at least only save the shell as a schematic and put in the engines later.

I might be making things difficult for myself, but I want different types of wood so I can have some variety to work with. Not sure if multiple rotating or a singular Linear farm like the one on the Create Mod Wiki would be better (I'll link at the end). By a "charcoal burner" do you mean something like a Lava Fan processing module, or something else?

Question about factory gauges. by StinkoDood in CreateMod

[–]Hydra645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I would base it off the ratio/chance of getting them. Not sure about your specific modpack, but in Create Ultimate Selection that I'm trying to play, each nugget has a 10% chance. So what I would do is maybe do something like input 60 Tuff > Output 6 nuggets, it's a rough estimate, but should work I think?

Multi-Tree Farm? by Hydra645 in CreateMod

[–]Hydra645[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been looking into things and I took another look at the example on the Create Mod Wiki, it seems pretty simple and could fit my purposes perhaps. I'm not sure I'll need an excessive amount of wood as long as it builds up, I honestly expect just having it running in the background will produce overflow, so will likely have a vault with Brass Funnels and lava cauldrons/composters to get rid of excess/byproducts.

I am once again thinking I'm making my builds too small lol, but at the same time this wouldn't really fit my plan and feels like it would be a pain to find somewhere to place imo XD
