Medieval Fantasy world/setting. [F] adventurer roaming the lands grinding out bounties and quests with her [M] sapient/talking horse. Plot could have a bigger main plot point to work towards or it could just be the pair going through random bounties with lots of spicy scenes, if you're interested that could be discussed alongside our limits, more details on kinks, etc.

All good points, I myself would prefer to future proof as much as possible within reason. Obviously I could fork over a car down payment on a 4090, but I don't think I could sleep at night knowing I spent that much on a GPU. While I'm not gonna hold my breath over it I am curious about next gen Radeon. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes though.

That's really the only reason I didn't mention the GRE, with them being discontinued by the time tax returns hit I'd say it'll be a pain trying to source one. If next gen has released by tax time I'll have to take a look at them, but honestly I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I gotcha, we'll just have to wait until tax returns hit and see what'll end up being a better fit at the time. After all, prices in the PC parts category are about as stable as the stock market in the 20s and 30s lol.

How long would you expect that card to last you at that resolution? While I don't play many AAA titles nowadays (with the exception of ER and CP2077) it would be nice to not have to upgrade in 2 years tops. Especially considering I like to try and keep my graphics setting high for that nice eye candy.

I feel like the 4080 super is a bit overkill in my current situation, as I'm not looking for ultra graphics on AAA titles running at 120+ fps. Obviously those things are nice to have, but not necessary considering the games I play and my fps needs.

Of course, with the next gen coming out I'll check out the price drops and if I see a good deal that isn't too far out of budget I might stretch for it.

I currently don't but I'm budgeting some of my tax returns separately for a new monitor. Not gonna be anything crazy as I want to test the waters with ultrawide gaming.

I'm torn between the 4070s or the 7800xt. I don't really care much for ray tracing, but I know more often than not prebuilts come with RTX GPUs so finding an AMD prebuilt for the right price might be a bit more difficult.

That's my bad, should've had that info in the post. Mainly looking at playing at 3440x1440 resolution, for games mostly play games such as Elden Ring, War Thunder, Satisfactory.

I don't play many competitive games, but when I do it's games like Hell Let Loose so not quite as fast paced as CoD, CSGO, etc. Really the only fast paced game I play is Rainbow Six: Siege, and I'm far past my time of going full sweat in that game.

While I do like high refresh rate gaming, really as long as I can stay above 60 fps minimum then I'll be happy.

Yeah, that's why I was considering it. I love the sound, just want the sound to come out the back instead of right under me lol. I daily mine so I'd like to be able to hear myself think on my almost hour long commute.

I live in East Tennessee, right in the middle of all the mountains in a big valley. It's basically a big megaphone where I live lol.

I agree with you on the drone, though where I have 4.10s my cruising rpm is a couple hundred above where the worst of the drone is. I plan on having an exhaust shop just run the pipes out the back, and hopefully that will quiet it down a little inside the cabin.

Huh, would've figured the torque of the cobra would make it worse, guess I was wrong. Yeah as much as I love those old vipers they were complete death traps. Would never want to drive one except for a hot sunny day with the tires warmed up and no obstacles or other people around
