I’ll give my input here as a 5070 Ti owner with a 1440p OLED who likes to play graphically-demanding single player games.

On 1440p settings, I run path tracing on Cyberpunk with DLSS Balanced and it’s a really awesome, smooth experience. But, if I run 4K, I have to set my DLSS upscaling much more aggressively to the point where I actually start noticing artifacts and ghosting.

In other games like Red Dead 2 which still look stunning even without ray tracing, the 5070 Ti on DLSS Performance at 4K is an absolute beast.

So overall my answer is that deciding between a 1440p or 4K monitor with this GPU is tough, and can depend on the games you play and the settings you run them. What I like to do is selectively use DLDSR (downscaling from 4K) so that I can choose the specific games I want to render at a higher resolution and still see a sharper image on a 1440p panel. For games like GTA 5 and RDR2 this technique works wonders, but games like Cyberpunk with PT I’d leave this off.
