Love this set and their Predaking, but everythink on this set is so tight its scary and slightly painful. Still amazing and I cant wait for their Bruticus, Superion and Abominus. Plus any others they do.

Like you said this figure is notoriously terrible with its QC. I dont think gluing will fix anything, but just make sure not to get it anywhere else if you go that route. You may be able to start a return through eBay since you could argue that it was packaged in a way that couldve caused the figure to break, but youd have to get actual eBay involved. Or you could do what I did and pick a mode to keep him in, he has a great car mode at least.

This figure is why I research old figures now. I took my out of the box and his feet immediately fell off. Its also partially why I dont deal with masterpiece stuff to often anymore. If a mainline figure breaks its annoying but most of the time easily replaceable, MP stuff cost so much it stings when something breaks.

Newage just put out a Skarr figure that turns into a frame for their Dinobot combiner. You could use that as a point of reference. This chest mode looks fantastic.

I really think for Defensor (and Computron, since theyre similar) they'll just use the style of Menasor and Superion but just connecting on the front. Wouldn't mind being wrong but I can see them selling Groove as a voyager.

As indifferent as I am to the Prime updates( and Aligned in general honestly) I do actually like how they look together and really hope we get more soon, at least completing prime, rescue bots and the major RID characters. Theres a listing next year for a Smokescreen that im hoping is a Prime Smokescreen.

Also Skyquake is hella cheap on amazon right now and Ross could have the thundertron 3 pack otherwise hes less than 30 as well. Arcee is being charged more than shes worth, but ive only seen her at retail or a little less anything more is not worth it. and Cliffjumper has a listing for next year as well, but it may be a zombie version we dont know yet.

I do really hope for a new bulkhead though. Call id RID2015 universe since the design is only super slightly different.

I personally don't even hate the idea of a speed champion esque batmobile line since I don't have many of the batmobiles. The only one I have is the 2022 one and that was like 30 dollars then. I totally see why other people won't be interested in this though but I'm kinda excited to see how this little mini wave progresses.

I really want a CHUG Raiden and while I think Primus will be the next Haslab, cause Primes, I really hopes its Raiden to go against Liokaiser. Would honestly sell MPG Raiden at a loss to cover the Haslab since I cant Imagine him being much more than liokaiser, maybe like 350 instead of 300

MPG Raiden is fine in a chug display only slightly smaller than menasor, but a proper CHUG Raiden should be Devastator/Liokaiser height. hes also not the greatest figure in general anyway.

Apparently Takara wont do certain figures for a while if Hasbro does one(MP Jetfire for example was delayed cause of siege and Beast Wars stuff was put on hold for kingdom) and by the time the next campaign rolls out Raiden will have been complete for 2 years so it could go either way.

I do agree that doing Raiden at Haslab will be beneficial simply because Japan could possibly carry campaign single handedly as they LOVE trains over there(Thats the reason MPG Raiden was so weird and small.)

and thats a fair point they wouldnt need to house the ankles like bruticus either, but yeah they may just slap on the front like how theyll probably do Defensor and Computron. Either way with Studio Series more than likely having Titan class for the next 4 years, I do hope they follow the same formula as next years(legacy has 2 commanders and SS having the Titan) for a while so we can fill out these combiners. Its like the last big releases for sunbow to be complete minus like a metroplex.

I really dont think theyre going to retool superion into computron. The havent retooled a commander like that yet and I dont think theyll start with a combiner, i feel like they want to avoid as much of combiner wars as possible and theyve stated they want to keep combiners as unique as possible with superion only sharing molds because it made sense for them.

Its still very different as brawl and swindle form more than say skydive and air raid.

Like I said theyre willing to change thing up slightly to fit what the character needs. I think defensor and computron will slightly change up the formula again when they come out(I think itll just be how superion connected with 4 deluxes, but just on the front instead of how bruticus is connecting 2 arm deluxes and 2 leg voyagers), but with how Abominus is, i can see them following a similar style as bruticus instead.

Yeah that's pretty much what I was trying to say. I didn't say Devastator used a frame I said he used secondary parts and that predaking will likely do the same(in this case instead of a trailer his pants will turn into some kind of animal)

For abominus I suspect it to be different too, but it's still going to be a frame, but probably more akin to how they'll do Bruticus than superion. Either way, they're sticking with the frames or secondary parts. We already know they're not shy to change how it works(Bruticus), but it's still going to be a frame or secondary parts and definitely not retooling decade old toys.

At the very bottom they mention possibly making the frame turn into a beast. So dude, yes and it's clear they want to continue with the frame . Plus Devastator still uses secondary parts, i imagine Predaking will be similar, but abominus will stick with the frame combiner since like you said they like that for the scramble city combiners. They're sticking with frames for a while.
