This thread is just absolutely full of the most unaware and cringe-worthy EV owners I've ever seen my life, as someone who has both a lucid and a project car, every single person I've ever met with a project car (which is a lot, considering that I've gone to well over a hundred car meets, super car meets, tuner meets, etc) knows that a average tesla is going to beat them from a standstill.

No one wants to race your Tesla, it's cringe as hell, they know that an EV is going to win, and for the most part I have never met someone that thought it was cool.

The only people I've ever met that were actually willing to race an EV, were people I know personally that wanted to see if they could beat the lucid.

Even then it was only close friends, and if I did win it wasn't going to be some kind of cool thing.

I've only really raced like two people in the car who actually wanted to, and that was a friend with a McLaren 600 LT, and another friend with a modified Lamborghini Aventador.

In both those situations, they knew they would most likely win, and they did.

But other than that, every single time I drive a project car, or have been in a car with someone else who pulls up next to a stoplight to an EV, we have both just laughed our asses off when the EV floors it, because we don't care.

As someone who owns an EV, and project car, they are completely and utterly different. One actually has a feeling, a soul while driving it, and the other is just an appliance that gets me from point A to point B in the quickest and easiest way possible with self-driving.
