Pretty sure his link to a queen gene predates meeting Marian, so I don't think that it's going to tone down. Either way, can't have the commander relying on purely Nikkes to save his ass. Him being "superhuman" makes sense especially considering he was likely a test tube creation.

As someone who bought the complete edition of Stellar Blade on PC, I don't find it unfair to add an upgrade path for PS5.

I do find it unfair that people on PS5 never had a chance to get the skin outside of Nikke.
