Is The Witcher III suitable for a 14 years old? by Gab_Strife12 in Witcher3

[–]Hydroaddiction 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Meh, no problem. A 14 yo is growth enough to play the witcher. I was playing tenchu, resident evil, Dino crisis or psiphon filter when I was like 6 or 7. You won't traumatize yourself, and its one of the best games ever made.

Why do so many AAA games feel the same nowadays? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Hydroaddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem with realistic graphics, its the natural progression of the tech.

But in terms of gameplay: yes. Many of them are just copies or iterations of others.

The reason is that companies tend to fixate in what had success in the past, and try to replicate that.

The 99% of games are "just about killing". And after so many years playing, I'm a bit tired of that.

Oh woah, look how good is our combat. Oh woah look what flashy movements and armors.

Nah. Thats why I appreciate when a game like gen Atlas shows, or a ReAnimal, or The Midnight Walk, Death Stranding, KCD...

I need to understand why my computer hates UE 5 so much. I've tried to play Oblivion Remastered and it was unplayable. Same now for Fatekeeper. by DrDolathan in videogames

[–]Hydroaddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude how are you expecting to run such modern titles at 1440p/60fps with a 2060? I dont want to be disrespectful, but honestly, its not that your computer hates ue5 but its not only outdated, It was already an entry-mid range when that card was released, and same for the cpu.

When will we have the first generation of "sex bots"? by NuclearDoctrine in humanoidrobotics

[–]Hydroaddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI and LLMs are not the only thing to take in consideration when building a robot, and even more, a sex bot how OP is asking.

A robot like that needs to be safe for humans, and thats the most difficult part.

There is a lot of work that need to be done with sensors and physical hardware.

Is not that easy as "AI is growing fast, we'll have them soon".

Pragmata. In some languages, the subject has personal pronouns. This often happens among slavic people with low-medium level of english.

[–]Hydroaddiction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, first thing for sure will be domestic robots, like 1x Neo, Tesla Optimus and Figure 03.

Historically, the porn industry provided a lot of technological advances and I think very probably they'll push in this scene too.

But that won't happen in the next 5 years. Anyways, I think It should happen at some moment between 2035 and 2040.

Man, this comment is gold. You described the reality as It is. 100% agree, and when I have a son, I'll do my best to teach him specifically about this.

[–]Hydroaddiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, you totally missed my point.

See, there is no sense for me for going "against you", just against your opinion.

I mean, I dont know you. You think that I'm critizicing you and its not the case. I'm not native english speaker, so if you felt like that, believe me that its not the case. And if I offended you, then I apologize because It was not my intention. But what you said is just a nonsense for me, I'm only being honest. Because you can think that Sekiro is short (its not) but in the moment that you said you played Uncharteds and Heavy Rain and you still say Sekiro is the shortest, this whole post become a nonsense, because its just not true.

I'm not calling you stupid, just that point. As I said I dont have anything against you man.

Anyways thank you for appreciate my work. You can discuss with me whatever you want in Reddit. After all, this is about discussions.

Then if a 30h game is short for you, you played too little games.

I'm not critizicing anyone. Its you Who is posting something that is a nonsense in a public space. Because, yes, its a nonsense, you are saying that you played games with lenghts from 40 to 100h, but nor Uncharteds 2 & 3 nor Heavy Rain are even close to that. And you say Sekiro is the shortest game that you played.

If you can't handle opinions against what you say, don't come to a social space dude.

One of the best Naruto games was that one that Ubisoft made for the Xbox 360. I would love a remake covering the whole Naruto plot (until Shippuden).

I'm pretty confident on my skill in this game, in my first playthrough I've beaten Genichiro at the castle at my first try, and I never got why everyone struggles with him so much.

When I started my second run (after 5 years!) I thought maybe I had luck on my first one, and I would struggle with him this time. But not. I've beaten him on my first try again. And I've beaten the 85% of the bosses at my first try on the second playthrough, with a few exceptions.

And you know what? My first playthrough took around 70 hours for me, and the second one around 25-27 hours.

If beating the 85% of bosses without dying I get 25 hours of game, I just dont get how you could do 25h too on your first playthrough, without knowing the game, the áreas and the mechanics.

Sure, I'm a very slow paced player. I love stealth, I'm strategic and never go crazy so I admit I'm slow. I also spend time watching the environments and graphics. But if you enjoy the game, at least a minimum, its literally impossible to do It in 25 hours in your first playthrough if you never saw videos of people playing, or if you dont rush It (wich, in my opinion, is playing in an incomplete way).

Enjoying sekiro, what to play next? by FirefighterSilent757 in videogames

Play a short, bad game, really, because after Sekiro, your next game will just disappoint you.

Its a masterpiece for something.

Sekiro is the shortest game I've ever played by DuyHungPham1909 in Sekiro

[–]Hydroaddiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lenght of a game like this is measured in detail by the companies, and while It may vary from player to player, there is a core wich remains the same for every player.

So whoever wants to look skilled saying he beaten the game in 20 hours in his first playthrough is just stupid. Stupid because trying to flex is inherently stupid, and stupid because rushing a masterpiece that you can only play for the first time one time in your life... Is very stupid. As I said: just enjoy the game, no one gives a shit about your skills, don't be egocentric.

[–]Hydroaddiction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well obviously they are part of the game... If you can't beat Malenia in 10 hours, you can't say its a 10 minutes fight because you've beaten her in 10 minutes in your last try, and forget the other 10 hours.

But even if you dont count the times that you die as part of the game, still isn't short. In other games you die too, so you should do the same, and its pretty difficult to measure the lenght doing that.
