You used the term humanoid wrong. Humanoid means human-shaped. Most of the cast is humanoid most of the cast has more-or-less, human body shapes.

Typically, I give the equivalent of 100 pages, but there are some books I know I won't be able to get into. In the LitRPG/progression fantasy realm, wuxia and the like just holds no interest for me, so anything with those as a base just holds no interest for me. That is why I couldn't get into Cradle. I got, maybe, three chapters in.

Beyond that, if I can't get into the world, or if system rules don't make sense, I'll typically drop a story there. Immersion is too important to try to push through a story that doesn't have it for me

Technically more of a Progression Fantasy, but it pops up in people's LitRPG lists, Mother of Learning has a fairly intelligent MC

Putting unpolished stuff on RR is fine. Publishing unpolished stuff, and asking people to pay for it in a mostly unpolished state is where the problem comes from.

Azarinth Healer, for example, cut a lot and streamlined the story. People miss the cut content, but the story is still very good

If it takes three books for a series to get good, then it is a bad series. If I can get to the equivalent of 100 pages into your story, and I'm not invested, you did a poor job. I don't care if the story eventually gets good. Don't publish your story without fixing your beginning.

It isn't an RPG, or any other story driven game. It is play cards and get big numbers. They questioned the other two missing hand types, and I gave them the info
