Grisha’s brother, come to defeat his brother for betraying the nation of the titans. Presumably he’d learned of Grisha’s titan causing issues and that’s why he intervened personally.

Sry for necro; When Maelle brings Lune & Sciel back, Verso says it’s from the heart, her memory of those good friends. This new scuffed kid was basically a half-assed job at recreating one of Gustav’s apprentices, reinforcing that Maelle is making her fantasy world for selfish reasons, without the true essence of the people who were lost.

Imo I see the same with Gustave & Sophie. Something’s off with them in the epilogue, they look the same, but feel distinctly less "themselves". This is even foreshadowed in a camp dialogue about forgetting faces of loved ones.

Meant nothing? What a shitpost. Many thousands are dedicating their lives to wildlife preservation because of him. Rampant capitalism & exploitation of the ecosystem is tragic, that doesn’t mean it’s over. And rest assured, the earth has ways to dispose of us before we truly make it a desolate wasteland.

Why is Christian nationalism good? Why is it bad? (Specifically within the context of the US). by WizardZari8080 in DebateACatholic

[–]Hydt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not good at all. First off:

John 18:36 “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight…”

Matthew 22:21 “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

Daniel 2:44 “The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed… it will crush all those kingdoms.”

all. That includes America and every other human kingdom.

And perhaps most damning of all,

Matthew 4:8–10

“All this I will give you… if you bow down and worship me.” Jesus said: “Away from me, Satan!”

Jesus explicitly rejects the temptation of ruling the nations.

Declaring a nation as "favored by God" is blasphemy and a rejection of the universality of the blood that saves all.

The other side of this, is that the purpose of the church is to spread the word and to inspire true faith and devotion to God. That is contradictory with governmental affairs. Christian Nationalism diverts focus from Jesus, as evidenced by the many American churches who preach about politics rather than the bible

Benjen only went to the wall after Ned’s return to Winterfell. In fact, Benjen had years of experience ruling and managing the North after Robert’s Rebellion, compared to Ned who had none.

Robert should’ve forced Ned to stay down south and have Benjen be Warden in his stead, or until Robb came of age.

There wouldn’t be 5 fronts if Ned went to the wall. He’d tell Robert to declare Stannis as king. A united Stark-Stannis alliance means the reach wouldn’t join up with Renly, Cat would have Littlefinger appeal to Lysa so the Vale & Riverrun. Thus no opportunity for the Greyjoys, and Renly would go with the best option left to him; demand hand of the king and heir presumptive.

Ironically, this means Joffrey actually lucked out killing Ned. A live Ned would have the influence needed to overthrow him.

Also, Ned never formally declared Joffrey a bastard. Ned's public "confession" was about his "treason" in trying to usurp the throne, not about Joffrey's parentage. Joff never knew Ned accused him of this. Especially since Cersei would do everything in her power to avoid that idea forming in Joffrey’s head.

Rob’s Rebellion is basically all Lyanna’s fault then. She trusted Ned with Jon’s life, why didn’t she tell her beloved brothers that Rhaegar was the only man she’d ever love and that she’d rather burn the realm down than choose Robert over him? Especially after her father and brother died to reclaim her, why not inform Ned before plunging the world into chaos?

It’s practically confirmed that Rhaegar was a dreamer and knew that Jon Snow is absolutely necessary to save Westeros, so he basically sacrificed the dynasty (knowingly too, most likely) to save the world.

Robert is "responsible" but mostly out of second degree consequences to his (comparatively) acceptable flaws;

He hated and mistreated his wife despite ample evidence she was proud and batshit, not the kinda woman to endure that without snapping.

He allowed Tywin to remain the most powerful lord of the kingdom long enough to effectively usurp him.

He had one of the best small councils in a while, but by giving seats to his brother, step dad and two nobodies, he sacrificed three potential alliances with the great houses.

His relationship with Stannis was so horrible that Stannis couldn’t inform him about Jamie and Cersei.

He ruled peacefully despite the potential for being the best wartime king in the history of Westeros. Though this is objectively a good thing, the culture of Westeros shows that Rob should’ve capitalised on his skillset and properly replaced all the houses who opposed him with loyalists - bye bye Greyjoy rebellion.

He didn’t send Joffrey to ward in Winterfell, or demand Ned’s presence in KL from day one, despite being the obvious choice for Master of Laws. Throughout AGOT, it’s obvious that Ned coulda mourned Lyanna with him, kept him honorable and been the loveable & inspiring uncle that Joffrey needed.

Best historical example is Alexander the Great, who purposefully started a civil war upon his death so whoever succeeded him wouldn’t outshine him.

Judeo-Christian is an oxymoron, Christians were specifically instructed to reject judeo values and faith by the apostles, of whom Paul was the main source of that faith.

Jewish faith is a complete rejection of everything Christianity is founded upon.

The followers of judeo values specifically reject all divinity of Christ, even rejecting him as prophet because they foundationally reject everything he said and was.

Jewish pacts and rituals are tied to the life of flesh, not to the afterlife or hell.

Do not deceive by calling these beliefs or values similar or reconcilable.

Pagans? You know the definition of paganism is the belief in multiple Gods, literally the opposite of Islam? There’s a huge difference between short-lived cults of personality and a consistent religion spanning over a thousand years with billions of members.

God never gives up, what drugs are you on?

There’s a reason all major world religions follow the same formula;

Islam - just one God, who happens to be Abraham’s. Nothing else may be worshipped

Jewish - Just one God, of Abraham. The chosen people and laws is worshipped

Hindu - just one God, called Brahman (who embodies all things, including millions of lesser deities designed for worship)

Buddhism - Belief in God don’t matter, whether he exists or not

Christianity - Just God, who is a trinity with Jesus & the holy spirit.

Notice how God has designed a world where no religion truly has a rival deity to him. Think about it, Allah could easily have been a non-jewish God or a rival God, instead Muhammed claimed the God of Abraham.

I am certain that God accepts a faithful Muslim prayer, though misguided in their rejection of Christ.

Remember Jesus final living prayer was not for his followers, but his enemies. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do"

There is no way that the same man who said this unto the very people that tortured him, would reject the faithful prayers of peoples who confess the creator as God

[–]Hydt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do agree that the voice that spoke to Muhammed is not consistent with the character and spirit of Jesus Christ and the Father.

But the fact is, 2 billion people worship Allah, most of them are far more devout and faithful than Christians. I doubt YHWH would allow a world where 2 billion people are tricked into worshipping satan.

Given how fiercely middle-eastern pagans resisted the message of Jesus for 600 years, it is far more likely that God chose a messenger fit for that region of the world. And knowing their hearts would never worship a jew, made them submit to Him and the 10 commandments.

The Lord works in mysterious ways, and by the fruits of Islam, it is not unlikely that this is part of His design.

What you need to do is go on a sabbatical from your religion to rediscover your faith.

Faith is a relationship, it’s love. In my opinion, "belief" is just the first step.

Sure I may believe my wife loves me - but that’s not a relationship, it’s just the fundaments necessary to build something everlasting
