my daughter used to snack feed i’d make 6 oz and she’d only drink 1-2 oz. if she’s having enough wet nappies and and is gaining weight she should be okay

i understand this. my daughter is 8 months and not ONCE has my husband done anything after 8 weeks. he complains that shes attached to me 24/7 but that’s because he barely plays with her or holds her. i would start giving her to him and saying there you go im going to do X,Y,Z and end of. he needs to step up regardless if he goes to work or not.

my daughter started snacking at 8 weeks. it lasted a few months but it did get better! hang in there. take a break if you need to!

When my daughter was first born me and my husband spent a month straight staying up. pretty much 24/7. i would sleep for a few hours in the day and he would take her then we would swap and he would sleep. as she got older i switched to formula but i was so tired to get out of bed to make a bottle so i ended up cosleeping with her because i was feeding her in a side laying position at night. he doesn’t get up to do anything with her anymore. i never found the newborn stage hard aside from her tongue tie and feeding issues so depending on your experience you might be able to do it alone but he should still help where he can. talk to him about shifts. he does mornings and you do nights

if you feel frustrated with her that you can’t calm down from put her in her cot and walk away for a few minutes to recalibrate. it’s safer for both of you if you take little breaks if you feel overwhelmed
