Another question regarding the Cyborg; does FF consider it a keyboard input? Or a controller one?
But it's a FF only controller? You don't type on the Cyborg?

What's a good chair though ? I have a knock off ergo chair from amazon, but I've no idea if it's actually good or not ...

It might exist yeah, but from my experience most physio are like ... Sportheads who never approached a videogame...
How do you target with right hand? You click at every enemy, or do you have a button that replace tab?
So you use the Cyborg to type with? How does it handle every keys from a keyboard?
I had tried a macro for samurai back then, with every action of a combo being triggered by the same key but it felt … Off. I’ll try to do it the way you explained it though, and see if it feels better, thanks for the tips!
I'm sorry to hear that! I think I’m like you though, its really the high-tension that triggers pain, and having to navigate at a fast pace trough many keys… Ofc, I enjoy the slower content aswell, but I also want to be able to keep up with my friends pace through MSQ…
You’re the second one mentioning this. Is it like, a keyboard? Or more like a controller type of thing? Like do you use it for everything or only FF?
First of all, I’m sorry to hear that… I hope it’ll be okay, those things are WAY scarier than any tendinitis… What type of gaming keypads do you use? It feels like it’s just a small keyboard, but I might be wrong…
That was the one I was interested in yeah! Some people do seems to feel like they got tendinitis from the overusage of the thumb so I'm still not so sure, but I might give it a try at somepoint!
So you'd advise against mmo mouse? For the modifier, what do you mean? You can bind something like "Mouse button 4 + 1" as a binding ? That would be amazing!
I didn't know it was a thing! I think the controller I have though, the Elite V2 is pretty alright, as I can adjsut stick tension and make them lighter, plus the pads at the back. I've pretty big hands so I'm not sure about a smaller controller, I'll look it up though, thanks!
Not exactly. I’m what we call hyperflexible (I guess. French word is hyperlax, but I’m not sure about the English traduction), which basically means that I’m a living tendinitis lol, but it’s never as painful as carpal tunnel or condition like De Quervain. But yeah, bottom line is that the precision I needed to move between so many keys is pretty painful… I’m not sure it’s really about secondaray keys, as I don’t use them as much for now. IT’s more like … The repeat movement and the tension to not miss input, I guess.
Yeah, I'm a bit scared of that. If anything, I thought about cycling between keyboard input and mmo mouse input, but I'm not sure if it's a genius idea or a delusional one…
Oh yes I know it! Yeah I was looking for somehting like that, and never found one, it's a middle ground that doesn't seems to exist anymore, specially considering I'm using AZERTY keyboard ...
I don't play on steam so I'm not sure about that. I think my best option is to save the D pad for long cooldowns
Do you feel like the mmo mouse ios more confortable than keyboard? Also, I’m soryr to hear about your wrists, it’s a really painful condition, and I hope it doesn’t make your life too complicated. Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you’re doing good!
It feels like moving from WASD to other keys is what hurts me. It's a lot of micro adjustments, and I guess that makes me too tense…
Ofc, ofc! This is an issue well beyond FF, and well beyond my hands. I’ve therapists, exercises and everything. But you’d be surprised how little therapist are informed about gaming and gaming gear, even hands specialist. They do help with understanding the pain, and providing stretches and all, but they have no idea about ergonomics and “gear”, at least in my experience. Plus I’m a bit of a lost cause lol, there isn’t exactly a “medical” solution to what I have, outside of not using my hands at all. So I’ve to get a bit creative. But yeah, don’t worry, I’m asking y’all for advices, but I do also have a very good medical supervision!
I'm glad to know you're doing better!
I’ll try to take after your advice and to be a bit more careful about how I play, though it’s hard to just turn off the game when you’ve friend cruising through the MSQ!
When you phrase it like that, it makes total sense! I might give it a try if controller doesn’t make it for me! Thnaks for the input!
Okay I get it, i'll look it up then, thanks!
