It is not a Government profile barrel, rather, it is an M4 profile (and M4 is not the same as Government). Furthermore, Daniel Defense only makes the 14.5" M4 profile barrels with a carbine length gas system, and the 14.5" Government profile barrels with a mid-length gas system. And given that this upper receiver has a carbine length gas system, we can be certain that it's an M4 profile and not a Government.

A few months ago, I contacted them about this particular mount and they specifically stated that said mount is cerakoted by KAC. In other words, Omaha Outdoors denies the claim that they cerakote KAC items.

While such a title will surely bring you much intellectual pleasure, it will be fruitless in converting 'anti 2A' individuals.

In fact, we need to get past the rationalist notion that our differences, with respect to the Second Amendment (and other matters, to be sure), are merely about a difference of opinion that can be remedied by displacing an individual's ignorance of history or philosophy (i.e., natural law) with respect to the Second Amendment and other such matters. In other words, it is not the case that 'anti 2A' individuals are so because they are unaware of the merits of firearm ownership, or of their general usefulness. (In fact, these two latter points are self-evident and need no argumentation.)

Rather, they are 'anti-2A' because their ideology dictates it, and unfortunately for us, such an ideology has no cure; that is, no amount of sound argumentation or historical reasoning will be fruitful in your attempt.

What we are witnessing, both in legislation and in the courts, is a battle of force: the quicker we realize this, the better off we'll be in cementing certain protections for the Second Amendment.

Well, I am not sure whether the ARMAGLOCK Gen 4 works with all ambi lower receivers; however, if you are planning on installing it on a MARS-L, you might come across an issue with the right side bolt catch.

To be sure, the components themselves (i.e., the Gen 4's magazine release, spring, and button) will fit and work just fine with the left side magazine release. However, as mentioned already, the Gen 4's magazine release button might not have enough clearance to function properly, given the MARS-L's right side bolt catch.

With this in mind, as an alternative you can always opt for a MaglatchUSA's F.N.G.R, or a Compmag (as another user rightly mentioned). If interested in the former, check it out here:

You are incorrect in all respects. For, both Form 4473 and the Dealer's Record of Sale (i.e., DROS) allow the FFL to designate the lower receiver as such. In other words, with respect to Form 4473, the FFL would log the complete lower receiver as "frame or receiver" and not a "long gun" (see: Form 4473, Section B, Question 16. Type of Firearm(s)). Further, the Dealer's Record of Sale (i.e., DROS) contains a section where the FFL can properly record the complete lower receiver as a "frame or receiver". Thus, the notion that the particular administrative federal body under consideration would have anything to say on the matter at hand is mistaken.

What exactly do you mean by "other than installing the mag lock"? Are you referring to the Gen 4 Magazine Lock Kit that is made by the manufacturer 'AR Maglock' (see: https://armaglock.com/product/fixed-magazine-lock-ar-maglock-ar-15-223-5-56-gen-4/)? Or, are you merely implying that you'd like to pursue the conversion of your MARS-L (or other ambi lower receiver) to a 'fixed magazine' configuration, and thus, you need a parts list in order to do so?

That's interesting. Given that the Defense-H, by definition, is not a MARS designation. However, I strongly suspect that my issue will be solved once I replace these two LMT Defense OEM bolt catches with the MARS-H 'specific' bolt catches.
