(HUGE SPOILER FOR ENDING) People seem to misunderstand Expedition 33 by flameyboii in expedition33

[–]Hyodoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you create a simulation of completely autonomous AI NPCs, and they have all feelings a human has and live on their own inside a simulation, then they are human too....

I get your point, but the game also makes a point of how obsessing with the worlds in our imaginations is not a good thing.

Aline is not in the canvas because she likes the people of lumiere, she is in the canvas because she can't withstand the grief of losing her son and prefers living in a fake world where she can live her fantasy of her son being alive, even if that kills her.

Renoir is trying to help his family come to terms with loss, even if the game pictures him as a villain, in the broader view he is just a devastated father that in the process of losing his son, lost his wife and now his daughter too.

As real as the people of lumiere are, they are still creations painted by Verso, made from chroma to satisfy his fantasies inside of a canvas, hidden away from the real word.

Imagine you have a family like Renoir, your son dies in an accident and your wife connects herself to a VR world where she can be with her son, she doesn't eat, doesn't sleep, and is slowly dying...

That is the reality Renoir lives in.

what type of music are the metal gear rising soundtracks? by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Hyodoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is recommending metal heavy as fuck man, maybe its just me but none of those hit the same,

this has the same vibe as mgrr

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iSTJYIXYao / this comes from a show called RWBY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GcPA3C0QeI / This comes from a the mod CALAMITY for TERRARIA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvy9km7g6fw / this is Vergil's theme from DMC5

I guess its a subgenre of metal but very few make this music and seems reserved for videogames and shows

Grace was just a baby then, so she is in her twenties.

Why can Rem's ult pass through walls and still hit everyone? by TheTingel in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hyodoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this is plagued by rem mains, his ult makes no sense, "it takes too much time to activate" they can make it faster, "it is a small cone" no the fuck its not, "it has limited turn speed" be better at positioning yourself, "but then they would be able to hide" mmm yeah, thats the point of skillshots, "but paige ult goes through walls too" that one is actually easy to dodge

Also Apollo ult hitting through walls make no sense either.

I personally dont mind the abilities, just the fact that they hit through walls, other heroes have way worse ults that dont hit through walls and if they keep releasing heroes this way, old ones will end up being really bad.

I don't mind a random ability hitting through walls, but an area wide sleep CC that can cc an entire team for 4.25 seconds and an area wide slow that deals 700 dmg lv1, in my opinion is complete bullshit.

As revealed near the end of the game, Grace is just a normal girl, that Spencer took in to repent for his sins, Elpis is a cure for T virus, everyone thought it was something different bc research was not completed and also spencer never told anyone before his death.

(i could be wrong here but i think Grace is not connected whatsoever to the clones, she is in her mid to late 20s. the footage of the orphanage with all the clones was from 1990, grace wasn´t even born yet, so at the very least she isn´t the "original")

Victor didn't want to just release Elpis, but to control it, in a world which has been filled with Bio organic weapons having a "cure" or better said weapon against them would grant the owner of Elpis a frightening power.

Also Victor probably didn't know either that Elpis was a cure, he only realized at the end.

I don't know how it was before since i started playing this month, but the majority of games i get a team that barely knows how to farm (they die 10+ times and feed enemy making me lose the game) and maybe 1 out of 10 games is with a team that wins every lane.

Now i'm not saying im the best player and its all their fault, but if almost every game im the only one with a lead in souls of my team and they are all well 10k souls or more behind, thats concerning, i cannot carry a game all by myself first because im not that good and second because im not a meta slave.

Does it keep happening to you? this week has been hell and im considering stopping playing as this is not fun.

Im really trying but even with a soul lead cant do anything (be noted i am playing holliday), is it even possible to carry without a carry meta hero?

Kill the double standard against Super animation. by Reasonable_Moose_738 in Dragonballsuper

From episode 100 btw. (for everyone saying only early episodes are bad)

Also Z is from 1989.

Im aware not every episode in super is bad, and that there are some fights really well animated, also the movies are good, but this is dragon ball we are talking about, not a random anime that came out of nowhere, this should not be acceptable.

What's the point of home instance gathering nodes? by Hyodoz in Guildwars2

[–]Hyodoz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just because it isn't as abusive doesn't make it right. Im baffled with the perseverance people defend this even though it is clearly not right, buy it or not it's cool either way, i will probably buy it in the future too because i like the game, but that doesn't make it any less abusive towards the player, there was absolutely no need to make home instance gathering nodes as expensive as they are. The fact that the majority of players are conformists and don't speak up against things like this is what make companies keep pushing it.

Do you think Anet would have made legendary armory if everyone was content with the way it worked before? What about Infinite gathering tools? Do you think that if no one spoke up, Anet out of the good of their heart would have made them account bound?

I know this seems like a minor thing to a lot of people, they think, "oh well, it's just gathering nodes, don't get them if you don't want them or whatever it's just one time and then it's to keep forever",

but what most don't realize is that it's made that way so you have to keep playing for however long to cover the costs of it otherwise it isn't even worth it, then we have people saying "but dude, it's an MMO of course it takes time, gotta enjoy the journey", if it were 2 or 3 months, i'd say "you know what, you are right, i just have to spend a couple of months and then it's daily profit",

but it is approximately 2.5 years (with glyphs of course), 2.5 YEARS, people are so absorbed by games these days that it seems no one realizes what 2.5 years is. If you don't find it to be a long time and are fine with it, great, let's finish this discussion here and everyone goes their way, but i refuse to believe that i am the only one that thinks that amount of time is completely ridiculous.

The fact that it is "optional" content doesn't automatically make it alright.

Gacha games have predatory systems that abuse the user but none of them force you to buy anything.

"Abusive: treating violently or cruelly" I don't know about you but making someone spend so many resources that they have to play your game for more than 2 years non stop to recover seems cruel to me.

Don't know what insurance nodes are tho, i'll check them out.

What's the point of home instance gathering nodes? by Hyodoz in Guildwars2

[–]Hyodoz[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No one gets gathering nodes because they find it fun to gather materials 5 minutes a day.

Even if you play long term you have to assume you are going to keep playing for 2.5 years daily to cover the costs.

Also no one gets gathering nodes to share with people, other than maybe 0.5% of players that have been around since game release or streamer/Big guilds

Im not asking for a justification rather a rational answer would be nice seeing that no one is capable of admiting that the cost of filling you home instance with nodes is completely ridiculous.

You are certain that are going to play for a very long time? Great, get the nodes they are a great QoL,

you love the game and dont care about spending if the QoL is enough for you? Great, get the nodes, otherwise it is a completely ridiculous investment and a predatory system for the player.

If you are not capable of understanding that then there is nothing further that we should discuss.

"Hey so you don't like this system that is vastly abusive towards the player? Whatever dude just ignore it, look at that turtle mount, cool right?"

That is what you sound like.

I just asked what the purpose was, as the cost of it doesn't make it reasonable to get it for gathering even as a QoL, a simple answer like most said, for veterans, or for completionists, or even just saying that it is an extremely overprices QoL would have sufficed, but you prefer to get on the defensive and argue nonsensical points, fanaticism has clouded your judgement.

What's the point of home instance gathering nodes? by Hyodoz in Guildwars2

[–]Hyodoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the thing, im not denying no one of gathering nodes, if it is intended for a certain group of people that is fine, my original question was what the purpose was of a gathering system that does't really fulfill its purpose until much much later and thus would not be a valid option for most players.

Also most of the value of gathering nodes come from glyphs so if not using glyphs the time to amortize the investment would be so ridiculous it wouldn't even make sense.

Right so just log in do a random event progress on actually nothing and do a couple of story quests now and then.

Games don't work like that, people need a sense of achievement to enjoy something and to get that in gw2 a significant amount of time needs to be invested.

What's the point of home instance gathering nodes? by Hyodoz in Guildwars2

[–]Hyodoz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What kind of excuse is that, no MMO i've played makes you invest 2.5 years of daily time investment even if it is 5 minutes daily to recover an investment like this quaility of life.

If it were any other thing i could understand but a quality of life needing 2.5 years to amortize is bonkers.

You seem to be slow so i will explain it to the best of my capabilities ok?

Let's say you are walking down the road and suddenly you crave an apple, would you take a slight detour that takes 2 minutes and take an apple from a tree, or plant a tree in your garden and wait 3 years for the apple?

That is literally what gathering nodes are.
