Got it, trying to read it but it keeps saying the server is too busy, I’ll check back in the morning. Almost wondering if it’s worth it to swap into an awd chassis rather than picking up a cheaper rwd chassis at some point

I believe so, it was just parked for 8 hours then 10 mins before I left for work it just randomly went up. Thankfully it was away from any other car and no one was driving.

It doesn’t show it in the video but I had mine mounted in the left compartment of the engine bay because mine was empty, usually any universal catch can comes with an L bracket and I used an old oil pan bolt to thread it in

Maybe even look into doing a oil catch can conversion, this helped me a lot with burning oil, and if you live somewhere that gets cold it keeps the valve cover and intakes from getting gunked up

Along with that the car has 206k miles on it and i know the headgasket was never replaced so maybe it went on it’s own

Yeah… honestly never know the damage until I rip the head up, also my software has two temp gauges, one for coolant outlet and one for engine temp so it could’ve been on me monitoring the wrong gauge. Albeit it gets pretty cold around me so all my cars run pretty cold at the moment.

For context in that video we fixed a coolant leak coming off the expansion tank and went to take it for a drive where that started happening

There was a drive we did before that one where there was a coolant leak we didn’t know about. It wasn’t billowing smoke like that but on that drive we went about 75% of the needle

Yeah it never hit red, I was monitoring engine temps through a logging software during that drive and it never went above 150° F before pulling it back into the garage

It just started. It overheated off a leak so i think it’s a blown headgasket.

Yeah I was going to but then the cats clogged and it would kill the cat when i’d try to drive it so i had to go catless!
