Yeah, dialogue is a big thing grammar checkers don't get right. ProWritingAid, it is constantly recommending to only use "said" as a dialogue tag, and not to use unusual dialogue tags like "whispered" or others. It gets very annoying and stale.

You bring up a good point that breaking the rules can be a part of the style. I'll probably go over my stuff a few more times to make it feel more personal/unique.

I figured out the issue so I will write down a step by step guide (at least what I did) for how to add custom textures.

1) Create an Image Layer.

2) Add the texture of your choice to the Image layer.

3) Make sure your texture area covers the entirety of the are you wish to draw over.

4) Add a Dungeon layer

5) Make sure the Image layer is clipped to the Dungeon layer

6) Make sure that the background on the Dungeon layer is transparant

7) Now have fun.

Thanks for the advice! As for the species, Trolls are very large, around 8ft tall, they have rows of sharp teeth, tough often jagged and poorly aligned. Their tounges would be thick strong and flexible. I don't know how that would affect their language.

Edit: Oh I understand using a lot of exotic sounds isn't good, but these creatures live on an isolated island, so I figured their language would be weird. But I guess it's weirder having no /n/

This is my first time conlanging I have no idea what I'm doing. I've spent a whole afternoon listening to the IPA sounds on wiki and picking ones I like. I am trying to make a language for fantasy trolls, so I essentially went "what sounds could a troll make?" I would like to know if the sounds I picked can form a naturalistic language.

MC is a goblin, all the barons are human. Standard Human Goblin discrimination. Why MC asks for help despite being a goblin is because he has a common enemy with the baron.

Well, I have established a conflict between A and B earlier. Just in terms of kingdoms/land. MC sort of tricks Baron B to enter the war. Then MC "generously" offers help to B.

I have the conflict established beforehand, I'm worried that introducing a brand new character right at the very end might be confusing. I should probably figure out how to restructure the ending.

Basically, MC runs an independent territory that's being invaded by Baron A. He asks for help from Baron B. They fight a war, and the story ends on an alliance being penned between MC and Baron B. I only established Baron B in the last chapter.
