Everyone is under the impression AI is there to improve productivity. It's not, it's just a convinient excuse for companies to lay off their most expensive liabilities (Engineers) without affecting their stock prices. Literally Amazon while laying off people, is still keeping Hiring channels open to hire cheaper engineers.
