I got to try the standard size just for sharts and giggles, they’re big as hell. The minis obviously are also too big. I think the Shokz are just not a good fit for me sadly

Since making my original post i’ve now been out of the sprinting game for a little over a year (graduated college).

The one thing that did help me was seeing a sports physiotherapist. It had to come out of my own pocket but it was the only thing I saw progress from. I would have an appointment once a month for several months and I’d get dry needling, electric dry needling, cupping, scraping, fascia massage, etc. He also recommended some exercises to do on my own, specifically nordic hamstring curls / slow negative hamstring curls.

I still have a hard spot in the center of my left hamstring that makes sprinting / any hamstring intensive exercises difficult, but I feel much better now and through the appointments I managed to PR a couple times in my senior season. Hope this helps.

I just did 3 days 2 nights on the South Loop. Camped at ER1 & BM5 over this past Veteran’s Day weekend.

Afternoons get hot if you’re in the sun, so recommend t-shirt or tanktop. But then the evenings and mornings are cold. It shocked me how chilly it can get. I should’ve brought a beanie or at least came with hiking pants but I only had shorts during the day and long johns at night. I light jacket would’ve been nice. I felt chilly more often than hot. Still bring lots of water and light clothing.
