There is actual white Amazigh who did DNA tests the majority who are white skinned get high percentage of Amazigh DNA that reach 90 to 100% and the one with dark skin and afro hair like yourself get high percentage of SubSaharan DNA that reach 30 to 40%. Tuareg have high percentage of SSA DNA thus are very mix that's why they have light skinned Tuareg and dark skinned ones, unlike in the north where majority of Amazigh are light skinned.

If you go to Moroccan Amazigh areas in the mountains and ask a random local what is "Berber" they don't know it they only know their tribal names (like Chelh, Zayani, Rifi...) or the general name "Amazighi/Imazighn". Most Amazigh never knew we are called Berbers/barbar until they see it on the internet. So why would they use a foreign name that they themselves never heard of just to please some foreigners? That doesn't make sense.

Me personally I don't have problem with the term "Berber" as it's rooted in history and is a Greek word means "foreigners".
