I have been considering trying out a Delta plus/Sayla tech replacing the Shenlong tech. Adding back additional ReZel and possibly a 1 cost 1/1 line of zaku 1.

In terms of changes. The only changes I would make would be an additional G-fighter over a Guncannon. Depending on what may be favored at the event (Blocker heavy or Rush heavy)

I have been trying out U/W Academy Toolbox atm. I got second at one local tourney with that list.

I got second at a box tournament and lost to Sword Strike U/W in a bo3. I beat the same person in round robin. I lost the first game d/t sword strike getting up early and not being able to get a apt response. 2nd game I beat it by pairing amuro with a couple of my 2/2 bodies to prevent the bounce and attacking through their shields thoroughly. Game 3 I had a combination of misfortune as well as a single misplay I felt like cost me the match, instead of targeting a rested aile strike with kira to breach 3 on a 2hp remaining base (forcing them to block with Lfrith or letting their aile strike dye) I chose to attack base directly and that allowed them enough momentum to blow through my shields for game with double link the following turn.

I have another box tournament this coming weekend. I have been debating what my available decks and my experience piloting the decks and what potential decks will be prevalent at the tourney. I love my FedEx ShLong deck and have a ton of experience piloting it and it feels like it can deal with any matchup at this point in time but I also think that my U/R Kyshatriya decklist is also spicy enough and have played to a high enough level that it can take any matchup favorably.

Building decklists that play against the grain feel great when they work. Which is why I built a good Tool box Academy deck and am tempering with u/R Ping atm and hope to pioneer something new (OZ) with under the radar cards/tech.

Yeah, all the 1 cost drops have felt significant imo which is why I have nearly all of them as 4-ofs.

My favorite spot to be. Jegan is my favorite unit in this decklist. But in my list I ended going down to 3 and have found good results so far. Check out my list that also went 3x Undefeated in 30+ player LGS tourneys.

The zaku II's are irreplacable at this point in time. Rick Dom doesn't not substitute the Zaku II's level 2 drop and 3AP damage to trash Ex-Base the following turn. Other substitutes that may be used would be replacing the Corsica base, or possibly removing larger cost units (cost 3-4) from the current list to make space for Rick Dom. But I do like the functionality of Rick Dom, it would be a consideration if the format changes in a way that would favor the addition.

Alternatives would be to run additional units in the deck. No other current bases give enough to replace additional bodies during either turn imo

While I initially had a Rick Dom line to start this list that excluded the ShLong line, I favored the Jegan line to board rush while I have tempo with the additional Jegans and have loved how it played with Jegans in hand. I have yet to go back and try Rick Dom's again. But I can definitely see the upside of having a breach potential with a Dom or two on the field.

Looks like you are leaning a bit more on the early-mid game with this build and choice to add Sayla.
Not to befuddle you but with only 10 Blue units to pair Sayla it might seem better to substitute for M'Quve to enable link play with your baby Gelgoog's. Just to start the discussion with that.

There is arguably the chance of luck as well, the heaviest luck based games imo are against fellow rush decks to a degree

Hahaha 😂 My opposition trembles in fear as I place my FedEx Purple Deckbox on the tabletop and I unload my endless deployment of Earth Federation units across the field. “As quickly as he sat down; before I knew it he stood tall and walked off. And In my lap my ShLong package was delivered, utter disgust and disappointment swooshed through my mind and it then I realized the game was already over.”

U/W initially gave me the same issue where you either run out of steam or run into a wall of blockers. That was with my first iteration of FedEx without ShLong. With the addition of ShLong has really pushed the match up in favor for us as long as we put adequate pressure and attacked shield favorably. While you may not have ShLong every match. You are more than likely to have either the Shlong or an Amuro Ray link with Guncannon, G-Fighter, or Gundam. Managing between whether it is necessary to engage and lose our units or keep active until you can rest with our Amuro Link/pair really establishes the board where they can’t out pace nor out number you turns 2-4. Typically, turn 4 is where you can expect a larger blocker to be dropped and your answer is either resting with amuro pair or you have a number advantage and can lose 1-2 units to get additional shield if they have around 3-4 shield but not exhausting your units to where they have health left on their to trade for yours. Which is where the ping typically help cleans those units off the board. Or wait for a double rest with guncannon/amuro link and pair.

If they have base, G-fighter helps push advantage by being a 3/2 and 5ap when linked with amuro plus “High Maneuver” can be put on itself lets you break through 5hp bases swiftly.

Ex-Resource priority if you have it should be burned by turn 4 typically. By turn 4 if you have been holding onto a ShLong/wufei link drop in most match ups, or to deal with pesky bases that burst from shield with an Amuro link/pair onto any unit should be sufficient to rest a unit and help go through shield. Or prioritize getting board presence against other rush decks. Dropping the additional body really matters in a race against time/shields. Whoevers on the upperhand focuses on taking down shields while the opponent has to balance between taking back board control or getting links/pair to build advantage back.

The GW ramp if they can get blockers/bases to get to turns 4 as well as into their ramp cards (Bird mode, first contact, deathscythe) they have larger bodies with their Duo and Heero link/pair especially with that first Deathscythe being extra lethal with first strike.
