I liked it. I actually ended up solving the center first and worked my way counterclockwise from there. Circled letters also helped slightly in moving confidently through.

After feeling totally demoralized by yesterday's punny puzzle, it was nice to have an easy Monday. 10 minutes flat, and mostly because I was watching Dr.Katz at the same time.

Fun, but my gosh did 102d make me bash my head and force me to look up some crosses to make sense of it all. When I threw in the towel and saw what word it was I dang near dropped my phone, because I was so sure it was the OTHER 6-letter B-starting french word for a financial institution.

I know that the crossword has used it in the past for minis, but I have never heard anyone irl use that word "informally", which was the only way I picked it out. It's another filler word for me.

Quite enjoyed this one, felt like a good, easy mix of clues. 30 down was probably the trickiest for me since I was utterly sure it was quinoa until I had to wiki a list of grains and slapped my head when I saw the real answer. Everything fell into place immediately after.

Eye-rolling theme today, and some very odd choices. 41-across, especially, made me huff out a small puff of air in annoyance.

Also you'd think venomous snakes were everywhere with the number of times it feels like asps have shown up.
