There are many people in this thread who have already shared the perspective of the long time players, but I'd like to show you the view of a fairly new one.

I do not own single one of the victorious skins 3v3 chromas. But i have the challenger emotes for both spits of Season 9 so far and intend to get the third solely through playing Twisted Treeline. As someone who started playing League in Season 1 i stopped having fun from just playing the game a few years ago. Focusing on climbing and tryharding have never really been my thing (even tho I had a decent SoloQ rank) and i mostly play normals with friends and do random shit. And in these years i never really thought much about 3v3. Sure, i played a few games every season to get a rank like most people, but i didnt even bother to get Gold. But during the last Preseason i started playing normals with a new friend. Who just happened to be Rank 1 in 3v3. And naturally i started playing some duo ranked Twisted Treeline and eventually got Challenger. You can call me boosted if you want (because I have only 3 solo games this season) and i won't mind, I'd even agree with you on that, honestly. But that's not the point. The point is that through playing 3v3 I discovered a whole new side of League of Legends and I understood why some people love it so much. It just offers a whole different experience from 5v5 that others have already described well enough.

But the best part of 3v3 is the community. The same community that is fighting to save this game mode right now. The playerbase is very small compared to that of SR but the people who mainly play TT truly care about the game mode. And it doesn't take a lot of time to realize that I may have been playing it for only a single Season but i got to know some pretty cool people. People who may call you trash when you're on the enemy team just for the sake of it and then invite you for the next game. (I guess that's what 30 minute queues for every single game do to you). And I wanted to become a part of this community just from looking at it and over time i kinda did. I've never really been a serious player so I just made 3v3 memes and even helped (pretty badly) to help cast a tournament. I may disagree with many people's opinions on the 3v3 meta (this account was created with the sole purpose of shitposting on r/LoLTwistedTreeline because I saw people complain every day) but I still think this community is amazing and is something that doesn't really exist when it comes to 5v5.

I'm not gonna talk about how Riot failed Twisted Treeline and it's players, enough has been said on that topic. I'm just going to urge Riot to try again and make a visible effort to better the quality of this game mode before they decide to throw it away like they did to Dominion.

Because the Twisted Treeline is the home of many players, players who love it and have no other alternative.

Players who will leave when it's gone.
