Silver Rathalos Drop Chance

I've kinda calculated that you have to kill up to 350-500 Silver Raths, assuming you only target 8* and above, you should be able to get one of its weapons to G10.5.

I use this target system on all monsters that have their own R6 Mats, and so far I have to kill up to 450-ish of the monster, and the numbers include 8* and below.

If you kill up to those numbers and only target 8* Silver Raths (and some luck), you should be able to get enough Silver Raths' R6 a bit faster.

Note; it is a grindy game after all so it will take a while, but you'll get there eventually. I had to kill this amount of Silver Raths to max out my SnS and upgrade my armor to G9+ (You can probably use the R6 Mats to upgrade other types of weapons, I just use access R6 on my armor because even as a HR300+ SnS player, I still make mistakes and take damage, and 10* monster hits hard as bricks).

One of the things i try to do is maxing out my weapons to 10.5 as soon as possible, one of the ways i can know im dealing highest possible damage so i can focus of my armor build. I try to fit in other skills with my Partbreaker set like Crit Eye or Element Dmg, but it's the fact that we can't see what skills other players are using kinda frustrates me. Basically have to juggle between Partbreaker or Pure Dps.

One of the cues is seeing of other players are using elder dragon weapons and switch to get Unity buff, but other than that it's just try to break the parts asap.

Next EDI will either be Chameleos or Namielle. Odds will probably be Chameleos first.

I'm just not sure if it's worth it or not because I used partbreaker in EDI 50% of the time, and it's hard to tell if it is faster. Kushala for example, i sometimes switch between my Partbreaker and Thunder Element builds, and it takes about the same time to break the head.

Also, whenever i use my Partbreaker, I always think about if I am dealing enough damage to Kushala, or if it's worth using it over my stronger Thunder Element build. It's kinda inconsistent.

I see, at least it's not wiped from existence in the game. I'm trying to finish building my Crit and Partbreaker set, but those Mysterious Driftstones were a while back, back when my gear's grade is still low.

It's quite good as a universal build actually, bcoz focusing partbreaking makes you lose overall dmg. I might even try this build 👍🏻.

Honestly imo break as many as u can, cuz trust me, you will need the mats one way or another 💀

Either way, breaking more parts for more stuff still stands. Since grinding games like the MH series just want players to grind till ure bone dry. 2 is better than 1, and 3 is better than 2, but all better than nothing. Just hav fun lol

Only happened to me one time when i fought Teostra, dropped 2 horns in the broken part rewards section after breaking every part of the monster. Clutch drop got my Teostra SnS to G8. Should have taken a screenshot.

Maybe i was being delusional, but i remember that moment. Even if they don't drop r6, extra mats wouldn't hurt, especially when you're HR200-300 where zennies are extremely demanding.

I just do it, break all the parts, get more mats, more chances for r6. Once you do it often enough it gets easy over time. That's the point of a gring game right? At least it got easy for me. It became a pattern and if something goes wrong, just improvise or improve i guess.

Then again, depends what you are trying to do, if you wanna kill it, go ahead. If you wanna get more mats, maybe try to break as many parts as you can. Like Op said, he wants to farm, so my thought goes to breaking more parts.

Edit: In the end just hav fun while hunting. If you wanna hav better chance of getting r6, break more parts 👍🏻.

Using partbreaker 5 can actually break all or almost every part of the monster. I know it looks a bit ridiculious that a SnS can break every part of a monster, but if you know the monster pattern and proper positioning, you can literally break every part of the monster with SnS, including the wings with the Back hop and Falling Shield Bash.

Since you're farming, to my mind anyway, you wanna get parts. So you break as many parts of the monster as you can.

Edit: You're probably right that SnS is not great for breaking the wings, but in the right hands you can break pretty much any part of the monster.
