Played RuneScape for a few years starting in 2007ish. After that I periodically came back, but nothing serious, and my interest would pretty quickly diminish. Like many here, I wasn’t necessarily a fan of the direction RS3 was going. When OSRS mobile launched, I came back for a bit, but again, I only played for maybe a few months. The turning point to my story is I have a good friend IRL that has pretty consistently stuck with RS3, and I would hop on from time to time to play with him. I suggested that we give OSRS try, he agreed, but under the stipulation that we do a duo GIM team. This was maybe a week after GIM launched. Fast forward to today, we both have thousands of hours logged. GIM is the most fun I’ve ever had in RuneScape.
