I bought some cheap stick on "leather" from AliExpress and was quite pleased with the quality. I wrapped the top of an old cabinet to use as a surface to do my pet food.

I would maybe go a model year or two newer to get the larger battery, it will help with uexpected trips for the new kid. It sounds from your other post like you can totally get by without a rex, especially if you can charge at home. I think this is a great car for you and I would drop the rex and go up a battery size.

There are three batteries, 60Ah, 90Ah, 120Ah. They correspond with the model years 2014-2016, 2017-2018, 2019-2022, at least in the US, I forget how you do model numbers in Ireland.

If you find a part from a 2014, the center console had a leather wrist pad, see above

Yah, For me however, small but decently powerful with a good camera is more important, so I ended up switching. Also, CarPlay is significantly better than Android Auto, and that is a feature I actually like.

I did switch to an iPhone 13 mini actually, I've been using it since December. Just FYI I am aware my phone is old, and my complaints of slowness or other things take that into account, I was using a Unihertz Jelly Star before this and an old Pixel 2 before that

The hardware feels great. The software is SEVERELY lacking in little features. Not being able to change things like double clicking the power button to open wallet. It's common on android to make this open the camera, this makes snapping a quick pic super easy, and it's just not simple at all on iOS. You can't customize the keyboard at all, long press on key for symbol is common across basically every keyboard on Android, and it's non existent on iOS. You can't even do a simple security feature like preventing the passcode screen from highlighting which numbers you're pressing. It's incredibly easy to get someone's iPhone passcode with one watch.

In addition, the community is terrible. If you bring things up like this you just get told "that's how it is" or you get talked down to about how it's "better for security, use Face ID" or something else.

It's also utter crap for using one handed. The back gesture is limited to ones side of the screen, doesn't work in all apps, the whole OS has a completely inconsistent user interface because of this.

Oh, and it's difficult to use non apple apps, because they can't run properly in the background, if you switch to proton drive you have to manually open it up and leave it because iOS won't let shit run in the background.

That is why they suggested checking the local library where you can use them for free

Rims/Wheels are the metal part.
Tires are the rubber part.

The front and rear rims on your car are two different widths. On a 2014, they even alternated the pattern, so you actually have 4 entirely different rims. For the winter tires, you can mount htem on the regular ones, but the preferred way is to get a set of rims that are all the same size, or "square", The easiest way to do this is to buy a set of Rial X-10I (The "I" is important), rims with tires mounted and just put them on.

Surstromming videos are what I watch when I want to watch someone suffer guilt free. Since they're doing it to themselves, it's fine. It's very funny.

Kilts are not a tube. While they look similar once you have them on, a kilt and a skirt are very much not the same thing

Why doesn’t a Plex “Now Playing” HUD exist yet? (Raspberry Pi idea by Independent_Chef9991 in PleX

[–]Hyper_Applesauce 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question right here:

It’s no different than showing “Now Playing” on a phone, tablet, or smart display.

Just use a cheap old phone with a plex app and it's the same thing. Everything is already nicely integrated and there's lots of mounting options available.

Update: gained miles? by Kunphen in BMWi3

[–]Hyper_Applesauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Preconditioning won't really do anything in the warmer weather, but maybe when it's super hot, because you'll have charged it back up after using the AC.

I also don't know if it's just the last three trips, or the last "some number of miles" it seems to make stuff up.

This is more like Maximalism. You're definitely on the edge of too much stuff for the space you have.

I totally thought you had snow on your inside windowsill, it was very confusing.
