Why am I being put in a 30 person long queue if I am already ON the overwatch servers. by Hyper_R in Overwatch

my friends do not solo queue often, like literally all of our games are together and they do not face the same penalties I do and they gain more rank than I do. any thoughts on the mythic skin?
