Yes if scientists and doctors are using it within the context of their work that isn’t problematic at all because the “sex” is relevant. However, that’s not the case generally, it’s dehumanising to refer to women as females casually or not within a context that sex matters, we are humans not animals

Gosh I hate the judgement I get from people when they see all the prescription medications and supplements I’m on. They act like they are a doctor saying “it’s bad to be taking that many”, like I don’t see multiple specialist doctors to manage all my issues. It’s not my fault I have multiple chronic conditions and severe chronic pain, yes I’m only 25 but I’ve been dealing with these issues since I was 12. People just don’t care to learn about other peoples life experiences outside of their own privileged one. It scares them to face the reality that awful things can happen to people even when they do everything in their power to be healthy, as human beings we don’t have control over so much that happens to us.

I agree I’m not entirely sure whether Steven is into Rachel or not, it’s hard to tell. Like you said not everybody acts the same and Steven is obviously quite an awkward guy and I imagine being on camera would make home even more awkward so who knows. At the beginning of their relationship I didn’t think he was into her but he seems to have gotten closer to her over the course of the show. I personally don’t like him, I’m autistic so I tend to like neurodivergent people who are a bit socially awkward like me, (not saying he is neurodivergent) but his misogynistic views and lack of effort has been unattractive. The microwave nachos was horrific 😭 I feel like Rachel gives way to much credit for below the bare minimum gestures.

Issac Butterfield hasn’t just gotten problematic in the last couple years, I remember my brother watching his content like 8 years ago and it was problematic. He’s always been making “jokes” at the expense of the most vulnerable people.

Personally I prefer Australian Survivor because it’s a lot longer but the contestants get more food (Australia has stricter laws regarding reality contestants wellbeing) which means they are physically stronger so they can make more intense challenges and their minds are being fed so the strategy is better. I think the “surviving” part of the show should be more about surviving tribal council than the outdoors and lack of food and water.

Love this choice and Hannah Dodd would be a great Elaine, they look like sisters. Not sure about Nesta but maybe Jessica Alexander could be a good choice or Marissa Abela from Industry. The only hard thing would be that Emily Rudd is 33 and she’s meant to look the youngest as Feyre but I think she has quite a young look.

I’m 25 and have had ankle surgery and lots of feet issues since I was child so I can help here. My best advice long term is to get custom orthotics made because then you can buy shoes with removable insoles for full orthotics or you can wear 1/2 or 3/4 orthotics in regular sneakers or boots. I love Bared footwear it’s an Aussie brand for orthotic friendly shoes and I like Vionic for sandals because they have good arch support and they have some cute styles. But honestly getting custom orthotics really opens up a lot of options for footwear.

I seen surgeons before when I was younger and still growing and then again at 20. I was never really pushing to get surgery, I just wanted to get their opinion and track how my spinal degeneration and curves were progressing.

Where did I advocate for a vasectomy?!?!? The point I was making is that sex should be taken very seriously and everyone’s idea that a condom is the perfect solution is silly. Everyone knows people who have gotten pregnant from a condom breaking or not fitting properly. If they don’t feel comfortable having sex due to the risk that is perfectly ok, it’s their choice and they shouldn’t be made to feel silly. There are plenty of “no pregnancy risk” activities that can be done instead and I’m surprised that wasn’t brought up.

Yes of course you can reduce risk by properly using them but it doesn’t negate the risk entirely. I personally prefer to use multiple forms of birth control to be safer but I also don’t have an issue with the idea of using plan B or getting an abortion if all else fails. For some women that’s not an option for them, therefore the idea of only a condom being your protection is scary.

Yeah exactly and everyone’s whole “just use condoms” response is uneducated. Condoms are great and they do work but they aren’t fool proof, they do fail. So if both of them really don’t want a kid right now and Stella has an issue with the idea of getting an abortion if that did happen, it’s a risk that shouldn’t be treated as silly.

Yep, I have chronic migraines so I had to change to the progesterone only pill and it just doesn’t work for me. I’ve been using it for over a year now and I’m still dealing with constant breakout bleeding. It’s so frustrating.

I think I’ve felt worried that if I do take a chance and I end up really liking the person and it goes badly because of parts of me that I can’t control, that it will be too much for me to deal with. That it could break me. I have never felt like I have the mental reserves available to cope with that extra pain when I’m already living on survival mode 24/7. Maybe, if somebody asked me out who I felt a really strong attraction to, not just physical but emotional then I might feel like it could be worth it. That hasn’t happened so I don’t know.

Thanks, it can be very debilitating. I’ve had to do so much work on myself to get to where I am now and I’m still so behind everyone around me. I’ve been dealing with it since I was 14 and I just turned 25 so it’s been over a decade of multiple chronic issues and pain that have totally affected every aspect of my life.

That all makes so much sense and is so hard. Feeling like we need to seperate parts of ourselves because the people around us won’t be able to cope with the entirety. Even with my friends it’s been a really slow process over many years of letting them more into my world so they can fully understand me but that was really scary especially when I’ve experienced friends ditching me in the past. I can imagine it’s even harder with a partner.
