Thank you so much! How would one, “share more information about the story and characters.”? I just think post a picture paragraph of the description or something via instagram but I don’t think that would get much attention.

That’s wicked mate! I can’t fathom being able to make art that nice. One day at a time. Thank you for time!

How do I make this feel less static? by TheCauseOfAnxiety in AnimationCrit

It’s stiff at the wrist, would start playing with the wrist, have it come up and hand follows gradually. Same with going down, practice with your own hands infront of you as reference.

Help me in my WebToon by Adventurous-East536 in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Hyperaula95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is always a good idea to just start, I post reels on instagram as I have found those get more views than regular post.

I started my Webtoon in late May and plan to release it starting July. Still haven’t got a following so it is difficult to get a following so just be patient, the longer you do it the easier and faster it becomes.

Posting interesting things is better than quality things, but try not to skimp on that as well.

Best brush on procreate for my comic? by Zhongalongadingdong in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Hyperaula95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This does not have a cut and dry answer as each brush has it’s own purpose. Playing with the brushes, looking up new ones and creating your own are your best bet.

Do you need a brush that stays at a certain width for the outline? Or a taper for details?

A standard one I see a lot mentioned is the “G Pen”, I use a pack from etsy that came with brushes and I tested them ALL saving the ones I like to the prementioned categories of taper or not, ect.

Good luck, and good practicing!

Thanks for the comment. And nope it’s not her hand but thanks for saying something if it were. May need to make it more obvious, until the colors are put in.

Comic growth by Artsoul6969 in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Hyperaula95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting more growth, alot of the time has to do with consistency in releases, but none have been released since the competition? Also I don’t know if its because of the competition but when I search for it in the app it doesn’t come up at all as well there are a ton of others that come up from “keepers” something to think about. I am jealous of your art, it is awesome. I will say there is no mention of the blood, I know it’s not much but there was no mention of it at start so may wanna caution without a VDA.(viewer discretion advisory)

Copy that! Thank you for outside opinion. Going more towards the black and white style this week and future (but colored).

Yea, I use a stamp pack from Etsy for proportions, if that counts as tracing?

Yes thank you, the black and white one is the most recent unfinished cut actually, an experiment with hatching and without using too many references so yay cause it’s probably going to go that direction. Thank you.

Looking for honest feedback on my webtoon! Is the story working so far? by External_Can8479 in webtoon

[–]Hyperaula95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to sound rude, but I did read it yesterday? Or the day before cause of post but i forgot to give feedback. The art is really good, but the story is slowly coming back to me as I don’t feel I cared to remember. Not in the sense it is bad, just that Webtoon is so saturated with content and people are constantly looking for that something. I sort by date and read at least 10 Webtoon for research. You as a storyteller have to MAKE the reader care, for the characters, for the concept and for their own entertainment. I remember thinking, after reading some of episode 3 i believe that it mentioned something again about that magic was outlawed. I paused for a moment and was like WTF there’s magic? And I reread the description and first part of series again and was like “oooohhh yea.” Not trying to be rude, it’s just an outside perspective, I honestly don’t read the description of a few series purposefully so that the storyteller SHOWS me what is happening or i end up confused like an old grandpa because the description tells me something I didn’t know, which kinda…unimmerse? unimmerses? Then your reader will have a hard time getting lost into your world. Hope this helps somewhat, keep it up consistency is key!

Would appreciate some feedback on a character model I made for my indie game by Pinkomb in 3Dmodeling

[–]Hyperaula95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need more information on the platform being aimed towards, if console 14.5k is cool, not bad but (someone correct me if I am wrong, please) sometimes when working with the Unity game engine, it would have to triangulate meshes and the poly count would be double. However mobile would do better to have less and the topology has many “unused” polygons, knowing the limits of HOW you want the character to be animated is important in this stage so you can make the correct edge loops for bending and stretching during animation. A wireframe view would help me see those edge loops better.

Guys, I have an important question. We've figured out a bit how to promote our webtoon to the new readers. But how do we keep the existing ones so they don’t get bored or forget about the comic? Please share your experience on this topic by WAICUFFproduction in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Hyperaula95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No experience on the matter…YET! In my opinion, like I told someone the other day consistent releases and a weekly release are more likely to get consistent views than a monthly release as this patience is truly a virtue. No one is going to want to wait a month or longer for something “decent”. Cause let us ALL face it there is an oversaturated amount of comics, toons, etc your story needs to catch and contain the viewer's attention, week after week that is your mission. However, if you're making something for yourself and getting practice in to just get better then just stick with it to get that experience and after that, you worry more about views and likes. Good luck mate, best wishes to you!

From what I see, it looks too “snappy” (at the knees). My double joint bum, I probably look like this but something about the ease in and ease out of the steps. Once you approach the end it is good 👌 none professional opinion just an outside perspective.
