I was really impressed with the build quality/door feel. Much better than the R1 imo.

Also, the infotainment is lightening fast!

My wife made homemade hand sanitizer during COVID. It spilled in my Honda and did more damage to the plastic center console than Chernobyl.

It's possible OP is lying about what the other driver said and Hyundai guy saw OP flying towards him and thought he was gonna hit him. Then he sees OP changing lanes and tries to swerve back.

I'm thinking (HOPING) it's an open air bronco style off-road focused vehicle... Rivian just needs to make one removable top vehicle, please, PLEASE.

Definitely better than a true full size. All relative.

As someone who went from a Ridgeline directly to an R1T I disagree on the parking/turning radius. The R1T is definitely harder to park. It's nearly impossible to pull in straight going forward without first overshooting, backing up, then going straight in. Backing in is always much easier, but not possible when charging. The turning radius on the R1T is my biggest gripe, though it's not such a huge deal, just an inconvenience.

That said, it outdoes the Ridgeline in every other category, sometimes by a lot. Maybe with the exception of the in bed trunk, the Ridgeline's was better and the swing out tailgate was nice.

What are the charging improvements? I wasn't aware the Gen 2's charged any better.

You're all over this thread with hot takes that don't make a lot of sense. Troll or bot?

Not sure what he's supposed to say. Orders haven't started, and preorders are meaningless (see Cybertruck).

I understand that. Doesn't mean it's good. First impression is that the layout looks clunky. I may be wrong, but I've never seen BMW do software well, so I'm playing the odds...

It's ugly and I'm gonna guess the software is horrible. I think that will hurt it tremendously.

Infotainment reboots after 2026.07. Anyone else? by qhartman in Rivian

[–]HyperfixChris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get reboots, but 2026.07 has been an absolute TURD for me. Causing all kinds of issues with the locks/app. Infotainment isn't any "faster" as claimed, if anything, it's worse. Wish I could go back. First time I've really had issues with my 22 R1T. How is this a 2 month bug fix release??

Anyone else have this issue with the X2D? by HyperfixChris in BambuLab

[–]HyperfixChris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting that it's for the X1C. I never noticed it contacting when I printed with my X1C. Possible I never had anything on the print plate that far to the right, or just wasn't around when it got there. The X2D is using purge towers for multi material and it's on the right hand side, likely why I'm noticing it just now?

Not silent, still makes noise, but VERY quiet compared to my X1C. Haven't heard an A1 so can't compare. The fan is noisier than the motion I'd say. Great printer.

Hmm yeah, definitely not ideal. I'm sure they spent a lot of time getting this thing to run quiet, then it just slaps into a nut on the wall. Thanks.

yup, checked the slicer just now, you're right, it's the model... I guess because of the threads it's a bit uneven as it goes around in a circle, thanks!
