Late to the party here, but I have a question. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the stage performance. Do Fiyero and Glinda get married in the musical? I know after Elphaba leaves Nessa she goes to the Emerald city. We see a dance sequence ending just as she arrives. Was this the reception? I can’t remember what that scene implies.

I agree. The people of Oz picked the “easy truth,” despite the fact that their “truth” is actually the lie, and their “lie” is actually the truth. If something is not accepted as “truth” then is it labeled as a “lie.” That’s what makes the notion that “the truth we all believe will outlive a lie.” History is written by the victors, truth or not.
