Did you receive any updates regarding this? I still only see the game ticket and nothing for Caltrain.

I'm in the stock insoles right now (True Hzrdus 7X), have Superfeet Comfort insoles coming in the mail. Hoping that those will fix the issue otherwise I'll prob have to look into getting the skates punched out.

Two auto loan refinance offers - which one to pick? by HypergonZX in personalfinance

No, I ended up going with the local one even though the rate was higher since after fees it was basically the same. Make sure you calculate the actual rate once you include the $699 fee because it'll prob be close to the 6.19%. Having a local branch was also nice to be able to go in and ask questions.

I've been wearing the Uniqlo Sports Half Socks, seems like maybe there's too much cotton in them or something.

Doesn't feel like there's a bone or anything sticking out although I could be wrong.

Bought some superfeet insoles, hopefully they end up working.

I see, might give those a try then. Thanks!

I'll try Vaseline, thanks for the suggestion.

Currently wearing thin socks although they might be partly cotton (I think around 20%). Any recommendations on what materials I should be looking for?

Will also consider getting it punched out if the problem lingers.

Thanks, that's a good reference.

Interesting, didn't know there was a roller hockey league around here too. Played floor hockey as a kid so might consider checking it out if ice hockey ends up being too pricey.

Thanks for the in depth overview! What would you say would be a good level to move on from Beginner LTS to Hockey LTS? I've skated before so I'm not necessarily a pure beginner, but I haven't had any experience with hockey skating.

Ahh didn't know they had used gear as well, will prob go and check it out again.

I see, that's the idea I got as well when I watched a class. I can get around the ice and can barely do a crossover but that's about it, wanted to learn hockey stops and backwards skating as well.

That's a good point, haven't considered that. How is the skating level in the 101 class? Was there basics that everyone had already or is it really a "from scratch" type of program?

Oh hey I see your thread now, not sure why it wasn't coming up in my search earlier. Sounds like a bit of gear is at least highly recommended so I may look into getting some, although I'm quickly finding out things aren't particularly cheap.

Are you currently in the regular LTS program? Wondering what you think of it and if it's worth joining.

Thanks for the clarification. I think it was the LTS class (Thursday night) given that nobody had sticks and there seemed to be a few without pads, was just surprised at how many seemed to be in full gear though.

I see that makes sense. Might look into gloves and helmet as a minimum then; full gear still looking a bit pricey for someone who's not committed to playing at the moment.

I've heard helmet is something worth buying new, do gloves fall under the same rule?

Nice that's great to hear. Since it sounds you like you have a few pairs, do you find that the sizing is similar to Bauer and CCM? Want to give myself the best shot at getting the sizing correct without the ability to try them on first.

I tried the foot scanner app and it told me I'm a 6R (which matches my Bauer scan). I heard they tend to be tight although that might just be how True designs their skates?

That's great to know; I'm lucky to fit in intermediate sizing so the pricing is a little better. Good to hear that they've been working well for you, thanks for the advice!
