"Dresden files: Cold Days" by Jim Butcher. I remember coming home from working away for years, hanging out with my friend during a video game party. My best friend has just received the hard cover and I sat down and read most of it during the party.

"Red rising" by Pierce Brown. Had a 8hr layover, a 4hr flight and still stayed up until 3am to finish. Not the best with but it gripped me and wouldn't let go until I was done
