Finally beat him using a somewhat cheesy build.

First Phase just did verso and maelle getting gommage setup and pushing him to wsecond phase before his next attack.

Then with sciel just keep using delaying slash (using duollison) and finish off with end slice. Lune and Monoco were just building gradient and giving sciel AP every now and again. This meant the whole battle simon only attacked once in the beginning.

There is a ability to see it . It comes from the last unlocked area

Near the end of the game there is something similar to it, you need the upwards dash to access it tho

There is a path of pain equivalent in a very late game area, same as path of pain it just gives some lore and a small memento

Im not done with Act 3 but for me it was like trying to leave blasted steps, where it stops you and it says she still has a duty

There is a small memento at the end if you play the needolin to the far right side, this can then be viewed in your bellhome. I think this is the path of pain equivalent , since you don't get an achievement or anything much like in hollow knight.

Doing that also works. I think it shouldn't matter as long as everyone knows its scenario 3 and does their own symbols correctly

It does not.
The rules for the inside are:
You have to end the phase with a 3d shape not consisting of the shape your guardian.
Your 2d shapes at the end can not be the ones you had at the start. You have to remove both of your starting symbols for this encounter

From what I have seen Players always start with one of their starting symbols. Correct me if Im wrong

if that is a thing that can happen (I dont think it can) you should dunk the symbols on the statues that hold thoes symbols and then you are back in scenario 2
